SONG FIC TIME! I've never done one, so bare with me. Requested by LogicalLillian379, a really great author, would definitely recommend her books if you like Hau and Gladion. Song is Poster Boy, by Lyn Lapid. Also recommended. Our little edge-lord may be a bit or maybe really OOC, because I have never, ever, written for Gladion aside from HCs. This is really short, so apologies if you're not satisfied.
Saw you at the corner store...
Y/n and her partner Leafeon entered a small store, on the corner of the street to check out a few things when she spotted a blonde boy who seemed to be her age, who had an Umbreon beside him.
I don't think we've met before
Leafeon walked up to the other Eeveelution, and began chit chatting with the dark type. The (H/c)-nette walked up to the boy, smiling at him and introducing herself and noticing that he was quite cute.
But it's so nice to meet you
The blonde stiffly introduced himself as Gladion, being extremely wary of the girl that approached him, but calmed down once he noticed she was no threat.
How have I never seen you?
As the two talked, Y/n had asked Gladion, who she now considered a friend, why she had never seen him around, even if she had lived on Akala Island her entire life. He explained that he lived on Mele Mele Island, as the girl smiled in understanding.
You were wearing corduroy, looking like a poster boy
Y/n pointed out that he looked good in the black corduroy jacket he was wearing, and he smiled saying a small thank you, grateful someone noticed something about his outfit.
Caught the scent of your shampoo
The boy had also caught a whiff of her shampoo, and complimented her back. Both Leafeon and Umbreon were looking at the two trainers, who were talking fondly to each other.
Yeah, I think that I love you
Even if they just met, the two Eeveelutions could see that they were both falling in love, and they intended to play matchmaker.
I know we just met
As Y/n and Leafeon went to leave, Umbreon nudged Gladion to go follow his newfound crush, to which he obliged.
I gotta confess
He brisked out of the store, looking left and right for the girl and her dear partner.
With you I don't see an end
He ran up to a stall that sold flowers, and bought some lilies to give to the owner of (e/c) eyes.
'Cause you'll be the death of me
Y/n was already far ahead on the street, looking up at the night sky to see the twinkling stars, then looking her side to see shops closing down.
My greatest enemy
Gladion felt his heart in his chest, pounding wildly as if it were about to burst out of his chest.
But for now
He ran up to the (e/c) eyed girl, and tapped her shoulder as she turned around.
It's you and I
She blushed as he handed her the flowers, and his heart in his throat.
I see my life
He looked away, doing his best to conceal his blush, but his pokemon nudged him ever so slightly to step forward.
In your eyes
Gladion began forming words, and asked her if she would go out with him. And what did Y/n say? She said Yes.
