When Xavier and I excitedly boarded our flight from Skiadeer, New Jersey, to our hometown of Anmond, Michigan, I couldn't contain my excitement! I was lucky to have snagged the window seat, while Xavier found himself in the middle seat on the crowded plane. Upon our arrival at Anmond airport, the bustling atmosphere energized us. While Xavier went to fetch us some refreshments, I heard a familiar sound and watched as our suitcases emerged from the baggage claim area. I swiftly retrieved them just as Xavier approached, surprising me with my favorite Starbucks drink, a Caramel Macchiato. Grateful, I expressed my thanks with a kiss, though I couldn't help but notice curious glances from onlookers. With a playful smile, I quipped, "Any issues here?" before grabbing my suitcase handle, which instantly quieted the crowd.
Together, Xavier and I made our way to the shuttle bus destined for the car rental area outside the airport. After loading our belongings onto the bus, we waited near the rear exit as the driver made stops at different car rental agencies. Upon reaching our stop, we disembarked and entered the rental office. Once Xavier completed the necessary paperwork, we stepped outside to find a friendly man awaiting us with the keys to a charming SUV. After stowing our luggage in the trunk, we settled into the vehicle, eager to begin our next adventure! My voice reflected a mix of excitement, nerves, and happiness as we set off to explore.
