Xavier
"Xavier," my uncle Trent interjected. Startled, me I looked up, and I stood up from the couch. Following my uncle down the hall of his house to the basement, we descended the steps.
As we entered the basement, we found Calvin lying peacefully in bed. I inquired, "What seems to be the problem with Calvin?"Has Calvin ever shared more about his family with you?" my uncle asked. "Yes and no," I responded. Puzzled, my uncle continued, "Well, Calvin doesn't like to talk about his family because..." Before he could finish, I interjected, "I understand, but there's something I need to tell you."
Using his telekinesis, Trent locked the basement door. "What do you need to tell me, Uncle Trent?" I inquired anxiously. Trent then revealed, "I ran some blood tests on Calvin, and I discovered something unprecedented." Moving to his desk, I joined him to examine the test results on his laptop. "You see this? These are human blood cells, and these are Calvin's," Trent explained. "What does that mean?" I asked. "It means Calvin doesn't have normal human blood cells because he's not human," Trent disclosed.
Shocked, I repeated, "Wait, what?" Trent confirmed, "Yes, Calvin is not human." Alarmed, I questioned, "Does that mean...?" Trent interrupted, "No, he's not a vampire, but he is definitely not human," leaving me feeling scared, worried, and shocked. "You can not tell Calvin this until I get to the bottom of this."
Calvin's scream startled my Uncle Trent and me. I quickly rushed over to Calvin. "Xavier," he screamed. "Calvin, I'm right here," I said, grabbing hold of his hand. I could see Calvin sweating, which alarmed me. My uncle had small wires hooked up to Calvin's forehead to monitor his brain activity. "Xavier, you need to see this," my uncle said. I walked back over to his desk to see Calvin's brain activity spiking.
"What's going on?" I asked. "I'm not sure yet, but I do need to run some tests," Uncle Trent said. I walked back over to Calvin, crouching down and wrapping my hand around his. "Calvin, baby, I'm right here," I reassured him. Why won't Calvin wake up? I questioned my uncle. "I don't know, but I am trying to get to the bottom of this," he replied. I then gave Calvin a kiss on the forehead.
For the first time in my life, I experienced a sense of fear - an emotion unfamiliar to a man who rarely succumbs to such feelings. Concern gnawed at me as thoughts of Calvin's well-being troubled my mind, leaving me feeling helpless. I paced around the room anxiously until I heard my name being called, "Xavier." Startled, I responded, "Huh?"
"It's going to be okay," reassured my uncle. "But how can you be so sure?" I questioned. "I don't have all the answers, but you mentioned that Calvin is a fighter," my uncle remarked. "Indeed, he is," I acknowledged. "So, Calvin will overcome this challenge with his strength. We must have faith in his resilience and wait for positive news." My uncle's words carried a mix of concern and encouragement, instilling hope in our hearts.

CalvinMemories, unfamiliar yet vivid, flooded my mind like a rushing river. "Xavier," I gasped as my eyes fluttered open, taking in the sight of the brown-painted ceiling above me. "Calvin," a voice called out eagerly, prompting me to slowly sit up. "Calvin," a familiar voice repeated, a gentle hand wrapping around my arm. "Easy there, I don't want you to strain yourself," the voice cautioned. Turning my head, I saw Xavier standing beside me, and I couldn't help but ask, "Where am I?"
"In my uncle's laboratory," Xavier replied. "You mean Uncle Trent?" I inquired. "Yes, you're in my lab," Xavier confirmed.
I noticed a flicker of fear in my expression as I questioned, "What are you doing to me ?"Nothing," Uncle Trent reassured me. "Calvin, you passed out two days ago" Xavier says. "Wait, what? I don't remember any of this," me exclaimed," my voice a mix of confusion, fear, and relief. " Xavier stood by my side, offering support and comfort in this bewildering moment.
I wanted to stand, Xavier demanded I stay sitted. "I'm so glad you're awake," Xavier says. I was still confused, just nodded my head and agreed. Xavier then sits next to me on the bed. He then pulls me into a big hug, nuzzling my nose into his shirt. The smell of his colgone had me in a daze "hmm" I say, Calvin, did you say something ? He ask "no" I reply. I close my eyes, nesting my head in his shoulder.
