"What's going on, Ricky?" my dad asked shortly after he answered his phone. "Okay okay..just give me some time to find someone to stay with Skye and I'll be there," he hung up and called my Uncle Josh.

"Don't worry, she's staying here," Josh said as soon as he got to my house and my dad ran out. I was still sitting on the couch, completely confused. Since the incident with my mom a few months back I was never allowed home by myself.

"What's going on, Uncle Josh?"

"Nothing you need to worry about."

I growled under my breath and let it be for almost an hour but when my dad didn't return and Nox wasn't answering my heart started to race. "Uncle Josh?"

"Yeah?"

"What's really going on? I know it has to be something because nobody is answering their phones and that's never a good sign," I was ready to beg for even just a little information.

He sighed like he knew he shouldn't be saying anything. "Fine, Phoenix is in the hospital. Apparently that Devon and Damon really hurt him and they don't want you to see him like that. He's actually curled up on his dad's lap like a two year old."

I knew he was trying to change my opinion of going but I wore a face of guilt. I thought I had done everything right, I even quit cheerleading because I was told to. "Uncle Josh, I need to tell you something..." and with that I told him everything and begged for him to take me to the hospital. From there, I was forced to tell my dad and my uncle. The worse part was that I had to admit that it was still going on. "I'm so sorry, Uncle Rocky! They told me Nixy would be okay that they'd stop. I'm sorry I did something wrong and when Nix finds out he's gonna hate me," I bawled, tears falling down my cheeks.

"This isn't your fault, Skye," everyone looked to Phoenix. "And if you think I'd hate you, you obviously don't know me. I was told - " he stopped himself but I knew what he was going to say. "Come here," he said and held out his arms. As gently as I could, I laid next to him.

We were sitting outside the courtroom. Nix had accepted bringing charges up against the father and son duo and had mentioned Evan so we both had to stand trial.

"I can't do this!" I cried as the time got closer and closer to go in.

"Yes you can, Rae Rae, you're strong and you can do this," I nodded slowly and wrapped my arms around Nix in a way that wouldn't hurt him. "Go, I'll be waiting out here and your dad will be in there. Just remember we love you," his words helped calm me a little, but it really didn't stop me from wanting to run out the door.

"Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?" I nodded my head as I was sworn in and took my seat.

The long skirt and turtle neck felt weird but at least the suit dress matched. It would just be nice to change after this whole ordeal was over. I looked around the court room. There were people around that looked to be about her age and the jurors she hoped was filled with mothers and fathers who would understand what they had gone through.

"Do you prefer to be called Skye or Ms Cerulli, ma'am?"

"Either is okay," I told the prosecutor in just a loud enough voice that everyone could hear me easily.

"Ms Cerulli, could you explain to the court what brings you here today?"

I froze and wanted to back out of this. I wanted was to run and not look back. My father was sitting as calmly as he could and I didn't want him to hear all the gruesome details. "Yes, sir, I'm here because both my boyfriend and I have been...hurt by people who claimed to have a claim to us," I told him truthfully.

"Hurt how?"

"We were both raped. I had a child to my rapist but I unfortunately miscarried. My boyfriend had been beat multiple times."

"Why did you never report any of this?"

"I was told that if I stayed quiet and let it continue to me, Nix wouldn't be hurt after I found out he was being hurt too," I had to wipe away tears thinking of that night.

"Can you point out the ones who had harmed you?" I nodded and pointed to the group. "Nothing further."

With that he sat down and the defense stood. "Miss Cerulli, would you say on a typical day you wear provocative?"

"No, sir," I told him truthfully.

"So you never wore corsets or short skirts?"

"Yes but there's nothing wrong with that," I replied. The defense attorney had continued like that for a few minutes. It felt like forever until we finally got a verdict: Devon and Dameon received life in Prision while Evan got five year Prision when the chance of parole in 4 years.
