Chapter 19: Something Grimm (Ricky's POV)

I watched Skye run up to Pheonix's room and only assumed the worse. She was either ready to cut again or Chris and Angela were having yet another fight. Given, my wife and I had our arguments when she left for months at a time for her job, but they got bad. Sighing, I picked up my phone and called Chris.

"Hey, Ricky, is Skye with you?" Chris' voice was layered with concern.

"Yeah, she ran through and went straight to Nix's room. What's going on?"

"I wish I knew." He sighed. "You never let them sleep in the same room do you?"

I had to think for a moment. They weren't supposed to but she'd always end up in his room. "Usually no, but they're always good at keeping the door open when they watch movies. Why?"

"Sure about that, Rick?"

Okay, what the fuck got up his ass? And he knows not to call me that. "Yes, I'm sure," I said angrily. "Why?"

"You wouldn't lie to me, right?"

"No, dammit why?!"

"Skye left a pregnancy test in her room and it's positive!"

"Chris, that doesn't mean that she's pregnant by Nix! They broke up three months ago!"

"She hasn't seen anyone else since." he growled.

"Sure about that?" I shot before taking a deep breath. "Calm down, Chris. I will try to get her home and you can talk to her. Get her to a doctor."

"That won't work. Last time she went, I heard her screaming when they so much as tried to get her blood pressure."

Oh god, that wasn't like Skye at all. She didn't like doctors, but not that bad. "When did that start?"

"Three months ago. I just assumed she was upset and didn't want touched." he said guiltily.

"Chris..there might be a problem." I said quietly while starting up the stairs. I could hear Skye crying and Nix cussing up a storm. "Mind if she comes home tomorrow? I think she needs to stay with him."

"I don't like it," Chris hissed. "But, just let her know she can come to me. I'm not mad at her, I'm really not, Ricky."

"I know. She'll be okay." I told him before hanging up.
