♪For you I'm a whore, we love money galore♪
Skyler slipped her jacket on. She looked out the window into the shining sun. A soft sigh came from her mouth. “9th grade...” Her eyes rolled into the back of her head.
She left her place on her bed. Wiping herself off, she looked in the mirror and practiced smiling. “No, no, no...”
She walked over and rested her head on the door for a few seconds before opening it.
She made some toast with peanut butter. She shoved it into her mouth as she walked out the door, nearly forgetting her bag.
She backed up herself, looking embarrassed.
As soon as she grabbed the bag she raced to get to school. There, she saw Marcus, Jessica, Ashton, Oliver, and... Ew. Liam.
She tried avoid most of them. “Hey, Skyler!” It was Oliver. She turned around. Her eyes rolled around. A fake smile spread across her face. “H-hey Oliver!”
He smiled. “Great to see you!” She lied. She just wanted to turn around and ignore him. But he was her friend. She couldn't do that to him. He ran up and hugged her.
Being the person she is she immediately hugged him back. Although people started whispering about them now.
Skyler slowly pushed him away. “We should get to class. I doubt we have first hour together.” “Band...” He said knowing she didn't do it. “Art!”
She turned around and left him in the middle of the hall. He felt his head hang down. She didn't seem too excited to see him. Her smiles seemed almost... Forced?
Skylar opened her locker shoved her books into and then slammed it. As she did, another boy appeared. “Hey.” He raised his eyebrows. “Liam, what do you want!?” She whisper yelled.
He made very, very, very weird face full of emotions. “Did we have to end?” “Yes, especially when you look like a dramatic cosplayer!” She started shouting. Skyler suddenly noticed a lot of eyes were on her. She could tell, but didn't take her eyes off of Liam.
She just blinked at him. “So is that a...” She rested her face a little as people started looking away. “A ye-” “No! That's a no!”
He backed away a little. “Are you sure it-” “Yes!” She turned around and smacked her face.
“Gross.”Maybe the new school year was as bad as she thought. She held thought as she remembered lunch. They sat in the same place every year.
She walked into class. She nearly punched the wall when she found out there were assigned seats. Not only that, She was seated next to Jess.
She sat down. They exchanged glances.
Jessica put her phone and took off her airpods. Class was starting.
She wrote down something on a note, unaware this chain would go on for nearly the whole class.
‘Hey’ ‘Hi’ ‘How's your summer’ ‘fine I gess’ ‘It's spelt guess actually’ ‘Stop it’ ’But your my pookie vanilla Popeyes biscuit with no drink cookie sweetheart coffee bean’ ’Damn, that was long’ ‘Why didn't you text me over the summer?’ ‘I guess I don't know’ ‘Mrs. Rubell is looking at us’ ‘Probably because we're giggling and not listening to her’ ‘Way to be self aware’
“Have to say something ladies?” She picked up note and threw it away. Jessica crossed her arms and imitated her. Though, Mrs. Rubell was unaware.
“I will send to the principal's office.” Skyler held back a laugh. “Anyways class...” *Bell rings* “You two wasted our last 5 minutes of class.” “More like 5 seconds.” Jessica said.
