Adira and Chirag were standing beside each other in front of our classroom and, her hand was on his left shoulder, It angered me to the next level, jealousy started forming inside me.

How could she stand like that, with him after knowing about my feelings for for him? I immediately went towards them, without wasting any further moment.

They were laughing at something Adira said, but when I went near them, they saw me and both of them waved at me, while Chirag always gave me his beautiful smile, Adira just stood there with a smirk on her lips.

"Hey, Purvi" they both greeted me at the same time.

" Hey guys" I too greeted them with a fake smile on my face.

At that very moment, someone called Chirag from inside our classroom.

"Girls, see you in the class," saying that, he left for our classroom.

After he left, I looked toward Adira with a frown, "Why are being so touchy with him, and what was that laughing all about?"

"Common babe, now don't tell me you are jealous and all. We are just friends, so it's normal for friends to touch each other," she replied, without a bit of hesitation.

"You just started talking with him some days before, and now you are acting as if you have known him for ages." I was both angry and jealous.

"So what yaar, we were just talking and unconsciously I put my hand on his shoulder, I was just joking with him, chill. No need for this much rage and jealousy, As before I said, we are just friends. Just don't overthink it." Adira went inside our classroom too after her remark.

I stood there and thought to myself, "Why am I being too insecure, we are all just friends right, it's usual. Adira said the right thing I guess, I am too jealous."

Before I could think more about the topic I saw our class teacher coming towards the classroom, I instantly sat on my seat, and our class teacher started taking our attendance, and one by one the class started and ended, I didn't get a chance to chat with Chirag, as the exam was in few days, the pressure was too much.

In the evening when I was studying for the upcoming exams, my sister quickly came inside my room, with a phone in her hand.

"Mene kaha tha na tujhe, mujhe disturb maat karna, phir kyun aayi hai yahan, bulau main mummy ko." I irritatingly said to her.

"I told you not to disturb me, then why have you come here, I will call Mother."

"Mujhe aur koi kaam nhi hai toh, le vinnie di ne call kiya hai toh dene aayi thi, varna mujhe koi interest nhi hai tere paas aane ka." She put the phone on the bed and left.

"You think I don't have any work, so I came to disturb you, Take the call Vinnie Di called, Otherwise, I have no interest in coming to you."

I took the phone and put it near my ear,
"Yes vinnie"

"Hey babe, what's up"

" Nothing much, just studying for my exam."

" Oh, what's going with that guy Chirag," she asked.

I sighed and narrated everything to her from the start, from group discussion to today's morning happening.

After telling her my entire story I finally asked her," vinnie, just tell me honestly, am I being too insecure?"

"Listen, darling if you are asking me, I am frankly saying, it's normal to be like this, You are feeling all these for the first time, so being a bit jealous, and not liking him with anyone else is usual," she explained to me her point of view.

"But I do not like this Adira girl's attitude, Don't get me wrong, it's maybe my jealousy towards her, that she is now your friend there and enjoying these high school days with you and I am your best friend and we are not getting enough time with each other, but still." She completed her speech.

"Vinnie, you know right that, you will always be my first and best friend. Now due to exams and studies, we are not interacting but, that doesn't change anything, You will always be my best friend." I reassured her, with a little bit of a smile playing on my lips.

" I know that P " she sometimes called me 'P'as it's my name's first letter.

"By the way, I think you should now start talking to Chirag about his personal life and whether he has anyone in his life or not and if not then, is he interested in you and all that," she said these things to me being serious. I didn't feel good when she mentioned him having a girlfriend, but I kept my mouth shut about it.

"Yeah, I guess it's high time now, I should try to know about his relationship status and also, his thoughts about me, but I will talk to him after our exams, I will talk to you later babe, it's too much pressure for this exam," I told her worrying about my upcoming half yearly exams.

"Sure, sweety, all the best. Rock it." She wished me luck and cut our call.

After disconnecting the call, I thought some times about the talk vinnie and I had.

Later I went back to study, as the exam was near and I was just starting its syllabus. It's normal for me as I always start studying, just before the commencement of the exam.
