Sitting on my bed with heavy jewellery and bridal lehenga, I was thinking ' Am I doing the right thing? He told me that he would try to give this marriage a try, will it work? If it does not work then what will happen?'
I sighed removing all these unwanted thoughts, My family was really happy with this marriage. So, I was glad too, at least some of the people are happy because of this marriage.
Vinnie was not able to attend my wedding as she was in New York with her husband. Yes, vinnie got married one year ago, it was an arranged marriage. Her parents chose Nikhil for her, and they instantly clicked with each other. Now they were expecting their first children, which was the reason she couldn't attend my wedding. She had some complications during her pregnancy, so the doctor suggested her not to travel.
She indeed was upset about it, she video-called me after consulting her doctor about travelling to India. She was emotional at that time and started crying. Though she blamed it on her pregnancy hormones, but I understood that she was really sad about not being able to attend my wedding. We planned so much for both of our weddings when we were children, but I guess some things are really not in our hands. It's all that is in our fate. I consoled her and promised her that I would visit her as soon as she gave birth to her baby.
And about Shivam, he was always there for me in every step of my life after that incident. He always used to protect and support me in every possible way, he never made me feel like, that I didn't have a brother of my own.
I told him everything about how I was doing all this for my family and for me, their happiness was my first priority. At first, he was not happy about my decision to this marriage because as per his thinking,' I was only thinking about my parents and family, but what about me? I didn't even know the guy.' but I made him understand that one day I had to get married and I did not have anyone in my life. So why not trust my father's and grandfather's decisions? They would always make the right decision for me and the most important part is Avyukt agreed to let me do a job.
After a lot of convincing, he understood my situation and helped my parents in the preparation of my wedding. However, I was unlucky in the matter of love, but I felt so grateful to have friends like vinnie and Shivam in my life.
Sighing I went towards my mirror to look at my appearance once more. My family members were all busy with the welcome of the baraat. I was alone inside my room. The beautician who came to do my makeup also did her job good. I told her to apply minimal makeup because my skin is too sensitive and I don't like makeup much.
Looking at my appearance, I smiled a little to myself. I didn't know about the marriage, but at least I was looking good in a red colour lehenga with green colour jewellery.
