Homecoming

The dance was finally here, which meant by grounding was also lifted, talk about the best day ever. I slept in late and woke up mid morning to find a glorious breakfast of waffles on the table.

Kaya and Lily were coming over at 5:00 to get ready which should give us plenty of time since the dance doesn't start until 8:00

I spent the next few hours on my phone and watching Netflix, the house was strangely quiet but I also knew there was no way I was home alone. Before I knew it the doorbell rang and I ran from my room to go answer it.

"Geeze Aspen slow down, I don't want you hurting yourself." Grayson scolded me from his place at the breakfast bar, but I didn't care, my friends were here.

I threw open the door and squealed "I'm so excited you guys are here, I have been looking forward to this all week."

"Yeah, it's the only thing she has been able to talk about." Grayson teased from behind me, I sent him a quick glare and stepped aside to let my friends in

"Alright we will leave here at 8:00, I'm taking you." he turned to me.

"Can't Ezra take us," I whined. He was by far my least embarrassing brother.

"Nope. It's either my or Ashton, you pick" he stated.

"Fine" I grumbled out knowing it was better to be him, because Ashton would over do it with his protectiveness

I dragged my friends upstairs and we started to get ready, I did my hair in a half up half down style and then walked back into my room to start changing into my dress, my friends however just looked at me like I was crazy.

"What?" I questioned them

"Aren't you going to do your makeup first?" Lily questioned me back

I blushed turning away, "I don't have any, my brother don't allow it."

That made kaya immediately string into action as she dragged me to sit in a chair

"That is completely unacceptable, I mean who do they think they are controlling you like that. A girl has to look her best and make up is simply a requirement. Now Lily's and I's shades don't match you completely but if we mix them I bet we can come close." she said digging through the two makeup bags

"Are you ready for your transformation?"

I was stunned to say the least. I couldn't stop looking at myself in the mirror, I loved how pretty I looked; you couldn't see anything that made my face imperfect without it.

We were dressed and ready to go, but I was taking one last look in the mirror. "Let's go already Aspen" Lily protested, dragging me towards the door, when I suddenly got extremely nervous for my brothers to see. As if sensing my discomfort Kaya stepped to my side and squeezed my hand.

"Don't worry with me here I won't let them make you take it off."

We made our way down the stairs to the living room were all of my brother were sitting, the all stared at my before the silence was broken by Miles

"What's on your face?"

I once again felt my cheeks heat and I tried to turn my head away.

"Yeah, since when is the baby allowed to wear make-up?" Westin joined in

I was getting ready to protest when Ashton jumped in,

"She can wear it for tonight, since it's a special occasion as long as she remembers she is beautiful and perfect without it," he stated coming up to me.

"Now let's take pictures girls and get you on your way."

The dance was going to be over soon and I was having a blast. My cheeks hurt from laughing so hard and my feet were already sore from all the dancing.

I was enjoying the music with my friends when someone cam up behind me; I quickly spun around when I felt a tap on my shoulder

"Do you want to dance?" the blonde hair guy who I spun around to meet asked.

I looked over my shoulders to make sure he wasn't talking to either of my friends, because let's be real for a moment I didn't possibly think he was talking to me, but as he kept staring at me I quickly realized he was, so I took his hand and walked a few feet away from my friends.

Now look there is something that's probably important here, dancing with guys at this school really just means grinding with them; I found that out when the first guy kaya danced with grabbed her hips and pulled her against him. I was stunned at first but I also knew I was pretty sheltered compared to most kids here and if kaya could 'dance' with six guys, I surely could with one.

I ended up spending four songs with this guy, before the lights came on.

"Uh well I guess I should find my friends." I awkwardly stuttered out. Now that I was getting a good look at him, I realized how hot he was and I can't believe he went for a girl like me.

"Wait before you go could I get your number? I want to see you again."

I blushed and typed my number in "I would like that."

I gave him another sweet smile and quickly made my way to my friends

"Okay what was that? Tell me everything." Lily rushed our

"Well he asked for my number, it's nothing really" I didn't really think that, but I don't want to get my hopes up either.

"That's no nothing, you've got a date" Kaya stated.

"Nothings official yet" I said glancing at the time, I had been in here for an extra 10 minutes and if I didn't go out to meet whatever brother was picking me up soon then they would definitely make it their mission to find me in here.

"Okay I got to go, see you guys monday"

"Keep us updated with all the details" Kaya shouted after me.

I walked outside to find Ezra's car and boy was I thankful I don't think I could keep the giddy mood I was in a secret and I wasn't in the mood for a million questions either.

"How was the dance?" Ezra asked pulling out of the parking lot.

"Good" I blushed. Man I needed to get that under control or it was going to betray me one of these times

"Just good" he mused,

"Your cheeks say otherwise little sister, so tell me who is the boy"

Okay maybe they already betrayed me.

"No one, just some boy who asked for my number to get to know me better that's all."

There was no point in hiding that much. I knew Ashton monitored my phone and would ask about the new number I was texting as soon as it happened; and as if the universe could read my mind, my phone buzzed

I had fun with you tonight cutie ;)

And for the millionth time tonight I blushed.

Me too :)

"Hmm, nothing you say" Ezra said teasing me.

"Oh stop" I said back playfully "it really isn't anything yet" I stated as we pulled into the driveway.

"Yet" he winked at me getting out of the car, that's why Ezra was the best.

My other adult brother was waiting for me when I got in and I could hear distant yelling in the house so I assumed the twins had their friends over. I quickly hugged both my brothers goodnight before I headed upstairs to text mystery boy some more.
