(50 years before Selene came as a guest at SOS)
It was a breezy day when Selene walked out of her house. She was just 10 years old and quite short for her age. She loved the weather outside, but she was fuming from inside. Her parents prohibited her to go to her friend's house after 5 pm, which made her absolutely furious to the extent that her parents said "As long as you live with us you have to follow our rules" and Selene retorted back saying "I am leaving the house". She back her mini suitcase with her favorite yellow pillow, some chocolates for the way obviously and whatever clothes she could find.
Her parents were just so shocked & amused by whatever was happening in front of them. But they didn't stop her. They just stared and stared and stared. She took her bag and walked out on her tiny legs, with fully sweaty red cheeks, and her water bottle. And she walked some, looked behind to see if her parents will lose, and ask her to come inside. But there was no one in her vision. Well, she couldn't see that her dad was walking parallel to her just behind the bushes.
So, she walked some more. And looked back again. "Ugh" Selene fell off on somebody. Somebody way taller than her. But she was not hurt in fact she didn't even feel the road underneath her. Instead, she was over another bony body who took all the blow and was holding her tightly so that she doesn't roll out and get hurt.
Selene groaned and pulled her held up to see who saved her. She met with dazzling green eyes with warm touches of brown. They were so beautiful and because he saved her from getting hurt, those eyes felt even more pretty to her. She pulled herself a bit more to get a proper look and saw his face which with an amazing jawline she couldn't explain it but his face felt comfortable to her. He will protect her.
As she was just gazing at the person who saved her, he got up with her in his arms and safely dropped her on her legs in front of him. "Where are you going little one?" His voice was hoarse yet soft almost like a guy going through adolescence. Selene just noticed one thing, his smile. None of his teeth were in place but that just gave him such a naughty smile. Almost like he is always up to pull someone's legs.
"I am running away obviously!"
The guy looked at her with amusement. Same as her parents. She was getting frustrated with that look now. "I wouldn't do that even with my age and strength" The green-eyed guy shrugged and told her without seeming to be commanding or bossy. More like trying to scare her.
He gestured his hands to ask her to come closer to tell her a secret.
"I have no money of my own and if you have seen this world around, nothing works without money. Also, if you plan to go out into the forests to live. Do you know how to make food? A place to stay? Fire? How to get water? How to tend to your injuries" he whispered to her.
Selene's eyes went all big and she started thinking. Do I? She didn't know anything in this world. Yet. She nodded her head saying no.
"I think you should go back little one. You won't be able to survive." She exhaled loudly looking behind at her house which was a couple of blocks away.
One last time she looked at the guy and started walking back house to accept her defeat to her parents.
"Little one, I am Salvatore by the way. Your new neighbor." the green eyes tall bony guy said in her guy-man voice. She looked back at him with his crooked smile. "Selene. And I am not little. I am 10 years old" She said using her deepest voice possible to scare him.
He didn't say anything but just smiled and looked at her until she was inside her house carrying her cute little bag with her piggy tails dangling from one side to another. He felt a weird warmth in her. And this needs to protect her. Hell what was I thinking, he thought. And kept his hands inside his pocket and walked straight to his house.
Selene's dad watched and heard their interaction from the trees. He liked Salvatore. He could be the brother Selene always wanted. Nobody knew the depth of his thoughts in the universe by then.

Slow? Mysterious?
I didn't want to reveal all the characters and what they do at one go. This story is not scratching the surface of love. It is not just physical craving, it is about showing through actions. Not just once or twice, rather for years. It is not about accommodating a person around your life purpose. It is about building your life purpose around that person.
And no, it won't be boring. It is going to have jealousy, possessiveness, utter attraction and smut.
Bear with me for 3-4 chapters until you understand where this story is going.
