Chapter 14: Family Time

School was starting as Lexy was seen grabbing her backpack and was getting ready for school. She noticed Desmond hadn't left his room for a while and was wondering if he was ready for school.

She was walking towards his room as Lexy heard some sounds coming from his room as Lexy opened the door.

Lexy: Um Desmond, Are you ready to go?

She noticed Desmond was already ready, and he was using his phone as Lexy saw something on the screen as She was confused.

Lexy: You're on Duolingo?

Desmond: Uh, yes.

Lexy: Really? I never knew you used that app.

Desmond: Well, I decided to try it out.

She smiled at Desmond and sat next to him as Lexy looked at the screen and noticed he was learning hindi.

Lexy: Ooooh, you wanna go to India or something?

Desmond: *Chuckles* Actually, I made a friend, and she's from India.

Lexy: That's great! And I didn't know you had "girl" friends.

Desmond: Come on, Lexy. She's a great person and friend. She's also really sweet, beautiful, and caring.

Lexy: Sounds like you have a crush on her.

Desmond: *Smiles* No, I don't.

Lexy: But you would never describe anyone like that.

Desmond just laughed as Lexy smiled while wrapping her arm around him and hugged him.

Lexy: Anyways, We should eat breakfast and head to school

Desmond: Of course, Is Mom still here?

Lexy: She already left, actually. She told me that she was going to be busy.

Desmond: No problem, let's go eat some cereals and then we will go to school.

Lexy smiled at him as both siblings left the room and pour cereals and milk on the bowl before sitting down and eating together while talking to each other.

Lexy: Hey Desmond, I was wondering if we could play tennis together after school.

Desmond: Sure, We can do that. I'll also cook something for mom if she comes home.

Lexy: Awesome!

Desmond smiled at her, no matter how busy he was. He still wanted to make time for his sister and mother.

Sometime later, Desmond dropped Lexy to her school as She said goodbye to him and watched him go away as She had a smile on her face.

She noticed how happy Desmond has been lately since he arrived in Florida, aside from the arguments and fights he caused. He's been socialising with his friends often and looks more happy then usual.

Meanwhile, Desmond made it to his school as he saw his friends waiting for him in the corridor as they smiled at him.

Cody: Here comes the man himself.

Benjamin: Hey Desmond! You gotta tell us about the date.

Roxanne: *Laughs* Sweety, He just arrived.

Evan: You gotta tell us, man. I'm been curious!

Desmond stared at his friends and had a smile on his face as He cleared his throat.

Desmond: The date that happened two days ago was really fun, Me and her got to know each other well, and everything went nicely.
