Parth sounded so hurt and they knew he was right, they liked doing all this with each other, taking in the moment they reflected upon the life they'd be living if they didn't have each other to shout and yell at, that's all they wanted to do each day, every day, she couldn't hold back her sob, what would she do without him? How would she live? Did she even want that life?

" how could you be so irresponsible randhir, how could you ditch me this way? " she held on to his collar and started to cry" you know I wouldn't do it on purpose, something came up sanyukta, I swear.." She wasn't satisfied with this crap of an answer, she pushed him hard, and walked backwards towards the wall for support " something? Huh? And you're something was more important than meeting my mom? Just last night you promised you wouldn't go anywhere and today you didn't turn up!"

He hated how she made it sound, he hadn't had a minute to breathe and take in whatever happened since morning, no it wasn't sanyukta's fault, but it wasn't completely his either! " yes it was important, why do you assume you're the most important thing, and everyone should revolve around you? I said I'll come, the world isn't ending today!" he yelled the last bit, absolutely frustrated..

Then he realised what he had just said.. He had said she's not the most important thing for him, atleast it sounded that way, he saw her wipe her tears and prepare to walk out, of course no one would want to hear that on the day he was supposed to make her his, it was so so wrong, but he had a long day and his mind wasn't working when he blurted that out..

He clasped her wrist as she tried to storm past him " please listen I'm sorry, you know I didn't mean that, you are the most important and.." she yelled at him hysterically this time " what is this to you huh? You think you're doing me a favour? By meeting her..? I thought you wanted this, but now no thanks, keep this favour to yourself, tomorrow you might just say I owe you one in return of this, disgusting"

She scoffed and he was almost terrified by the intensity of her voice, no he wasn't doing a favour, he wanted this as much as she wanted this, he wanted a life with her, she was misunderstandings each word of his, it was so suffocating! " what's gotten into you, what's the desperation? We've got our entire life dammit, we both are in college? Why are you pressuring me? And still I'm saying I'm coming, I'll come, because I love you!"

"yes randhir I'm desperate and so is my mom and we're dying to meet with you Mr. President! Maybe because we don't have time! I don't, my mom doesn't.. " her voice cracking to a mere whisper.." she's got a tumour randhir, a brain tumour, and dhruv is treating her for that, she thinks she's got no time and that dhruv is perfect for being there for me and her when no one was, not even you.. " she trailed off and watched his features change, watched his muscles stiffen, the blood wash out from his face, his grip loosening, his lips parting to say something but nothing came out..

His mind went numb, he'd never had a mom but he knew what her mom meant for her, she was her world, her entire reason of being, even when he had moments of glimpses of her mom, he always wished his mom was the exact same, even when she'd slapped him, he had felt blessed for having someone tell him wrong from right, he had felt cared for to be yelled at, it made him feel like someone cared when he took a wrong decision, he stared into nothingness absorbing this news..

"And now you're asking me to listen
Because it's worked each time before"
