Brooklyn's POV-
The night of the performance.
As I was applying extra hairspray to keep my hair in place I heard my phone vibrate from my dance bag. It was from Harry, Me and Zayn are sitting in the back. No one has noticed us yet. Good luck your gonna be a great Mustardseed ;).
Thanks Harry. I'm really nervous. Probably gonna trip and mess the entire thing up. Whatever. I replied. Within several moments he texted back, Break a leg. I laughed and put my phone away.
I was extremely nervous. All I could think about was the fact that the director would be watching me to see if I did good. I needed this. I needed to do good, but I was positive I was going got mess up.
Lily walked over to me and gave me a nervous smile, "Are you ready for this?"
"Nope," I responded, "but do I really have a choice?" She laughed and the lights dimmed in the audience signalling that it was time for the ballet to begin. I looked at Lily and smiled as the play began.
Harry's POV-
I put my phone back in my pocket and noticed Zayn looking at me, "What?"
"Did you just text Brooklyn good luck?" He asked.
"Yeah, that's what friends do," I replied smirking at him.
He doesn't respond and just laughed. Before I could say anything more the lights dimmed. The play was about to begin.

Okay so obviously the play was a bit boring but watching Brooklyn almost made up for it. From my point of view she was really good. I thought she should have had a bigger part. I mean don't get me wrong the other dancers were pretty good, including Lily who was probably one of the best too, but Brooklyn was great.
When the play ended all the dancers took the stage and bowed as their name was called. When Brooklyn's name was called I stood up and cheered just to embarass her. She blushed and glared at me but I just grinned like an idiot.
Zayn sat there laughing at me, "So I take it you enjoyed to show."
"Ehh, not really. I'm not really into ballet."
"But you fancy her, right?" He asked.
I looked at him, "I'm not sure. I'm not really looking for a relationship right now and I'm pretty sure that she isn't either."
My phone vibrated and I checked, What happened to keeping a low profile Styles?
I laughed, Oh come on I was good.... most of the time.
"Hey Harry we have to get going if were going to meet Louis, Liam, and Niall at the club," Zayn told me.
"Okay just let me say goodbye to Brooklyn. Do you want to come along?" I asked.
"Harry I'm not sure if that's a good idea. I mean I know your wearing a beanie but I'm pretty sure there gonna notice you. It's a miracle we haven't been noticed yet."
"Oh come on Zayne. Live a little," I said winking.
"Isn't that gonna piss Brooklyn off?" Zayn asked laughing.
I grinned cheekily, "Probably." I turned and headed towards the front of the room where several of the dancers were standing around talking to there friends and family. Some of them started to notice me and I knew if wasn't long until my cover was blown.
Finally I saw Brooklyn and walked over to her, "That was amazing love."
She glared at me but I could tell she wasn't mad, "Harry, people are noticing you."
"It was gonna happen eventually," I said grinning cheekily at her, "But seriously you were the best Mustardseed I've ever seen."
She laughed, "I'm the only Mustardseed you've ever seen." Her hair was in another tight bun and she was wearing a lot of makeup with sparkles everywhere. She had on a colorful dress and matching wings.
"I like all the sparkles. It really brings out your inner shine," I laughed.
"Go to hell Styles," She responded laughing.
"I'll save you a spot," I retorded winking at her.
Zayn walked over, "Harry we have to go." He turned and looked at Brooklyn, "Hi, I'm Zayn. Nice to meet you Brooklyn." He shook her hand and she smiled.
There were several girls already walking toward us and Brooklyn seemed to realize that there was going to be more soon. "I don't want to hold you guys up. Nice meeting you Zayn."
"Bye love," I think she expected me to walk off but for some odd reason I decided to hug her. When we touched I felt a spark of electricity I hadn't felt in a long time. Brooklyn jumped back and turned red.
"Really Harry? Infront of everyone you decide to do that?" She groaned and I cheekily grinned at her.
A girl walked up and asked Zayn and I for a picture. Brooklyn waved at me and walked off to talk to her other friends. I saw that some of the girls in the room that had noticed me, watched Brooklyn as she walked off.
After we finished taking pictures Zayn and I headed to the car. As we were walking Zayn said, "She seems nice. I understand why you like her. Oh and that Lily girl was pretty fit."
Brooklyn's POV-
Crap... I thought, I can't like Harry. I'm not going to ruin another friendship by liking him. I mean I know I've only known him for like a week, but I would rather have him as a friend then as another quick romance. Besides if I dated Harry everything would get way too complicated.
He was world famous and had millions of fans. I could never keep up with that. I needed a simple romance, not something crazy and messy like that. I started to think about all the reasons why I couldn't date him and I realized that there were way too many. I'm never going to date Harry Styles, I thought.
I was sitting at my desk in my room trying to work on some of the homework when I an idea. I was going to make a list of all the things I didn't want of a boyfriend.
