Brooklyn's POV-

*Flashback to The End of March*

As I was getting ready to leave dance Gia called me over to talk. "Hey Brooke. I know a lot of girls have been on to you about this and I really didn't want to be just another one of them but I can't help but ask, are you are Harry broken up? I know that's really rude of me to ask, but were friends and I just wanted to know so I could be there for you."

I smiled reassuringly at her, "Oh no Harry and I were never dating! We are honestly just friends."

"Oh okay I was just wondering. I really didn't mean to be rude or anything. It's just that it's all over the press and stuff and I just wanted to hear it from you rather than some untrue article," She replied.

"No it's really fine. I mean it's a bit annoying when I have random girls coming up to me off of the streets asking me why I broke poor Harry's heart, but your my friend and you just wanted to know. Don't sweat it. Okay?"

She nodded as I picked up my dance bag and turned for the door. "Bye Brooklyn, don't forget about the party at David's house on Friday!" Gia hollared after me.

I stepped out into the warm Californian air which was slightly colder than normal due to the fact it was nighttime. It was refreshing because I had just spent six hours in dance. I checked my phone to find that I had several text messages from various friends but decided not to answer them at that time. I instead typed in Harry's name on google, something I did now out of habit, to see if any new articles had popped up about him. I mean sure I heard about it from Harry, but we only talked on the phone once or twice a week.

Sure enough there was a new article about how ever since early March Harry had seemed a bit down. They speculated it was due to some big break up between Harry and I. Sure the press never officially called us a couple, but apparently it was obvious there had been something going on between us. I secretly fantisized that one day Harry would announce to the world that he was off the market and his heart had been stolen by me. Obviously that wasn't going to happen, but hey a girl can dream.

Harry hadn't really talked about us becoming more than friends lately and I was kind of worried he had decided he only liked me as a friend. Or worse he liked someone else. I knew that Harry had been seeing a couple girls here and there lately, but he assured me nothing happened between them. I had also gone on a couple of dates recently. I mean I knew there was a possibility of Harry and I getting together after his European tour, but it wasn't like we were dating now. We were just friends. We could both do whatever we liked with whoever we liked. I'm not quite sure I liked that, but he wasn't mine and I wasn't his.

I opened my car door and heard the familiar ring of Harry's ringtone. He made me change it because he said 'he deserved to be special on my phone'.

I quickly fumbled for my phone anxious to hear the raspy deep voice I had grown to love. "Hey Harold!" I exclaimed probably a little to happily.

"Hey Brooklyn, sorry I haven't rang in a couple days. It's been really busy," Harry started.

I got into my car and sat down in the seat. I didn't want to drive while talking to him so I just turned the car on and turned the heat way up. "No it's completely fine! I've been busy with dance anyways," I began as I shivered from the cold still circulating in the car. "How's the tour been?"

He didn't respond for a moment, "It's been alright. The lads and I are a tad tired from the past couple of days. How's everything with you?"

"It's been good. All I've been doing lately is dancing and going to school though," I replied and when he didn't respond I attempted to make a joke,"I clearly live life in the fast lane."
