It's never too late never too late to start over, never too late to be happy. ~Author unknown
Harry's POV-
I was sitting on the couch when my phone vibrated in my pocket. I checked who it was and gasped. It was the last person I expected it to be.... Brooklyn.
"Who is it Curly?" Louis, who was sitting next to me on the couch, asked.
I ran my hand through my curly hair. "It's Brooklyn. She wants to meet up to talk. What should I do?"
Louis thought for a moment before replying. "Well that depends. Are you ready just be friends with her, because it's going to be hard. If you really want to be in her life that's what you have to do. Let's face it, even though Brooklyn wants you she is the most stubborn person we know. When she decides something she sticks to it."
I sighed, "What do you think she's going to say?"
"You exactly what she's going to say. She's going to sit you down and say that she wants to be friends and can't imagine not being friends with you."
I looked down at my feet, "I don't know if I can hear her say, 'I just want to be friends' again."
"Well then here's what you need to do. Say that you just want to be friends before she can."

Brooklyn opened her mouth to say something, but before she continued I interrupted her. "Wait Brooklyn before you say anything, I've been doing some thinking. I think it is probably best if we stayed friends. It just probaby wouldn't work out and I really like hanging with you. I don't want to loose that. I shouldn't have tried to force a relationship on you," I explained. Everything that had just came out of my mouth was a big fat lie.
She flinched and a strange look crossed her face, but she quickly wiped her face clean of any emotion. She looked down at the table and then back up at me, smiling. "I'm glad you said that Harry, because I was just about to say the exact same thing."
My heart hurt hearing those words. I liked this girl, and she would never want me the way I wanted her. Well at least we were still friends. I decided to give up on Brooklyn. She obviously didn't want me, so it was time to find a new girl. There are plenty of girls out there, maybe I could find someone better than Brooklyn.
"Hey Harry I'm gonna go grab a coffee. I haven't done any of my course work that's literally due tomorrow and I'm probably not going to get any sleep tonight. I'm thinking a double shot of expresso or something like that?" She asked looking at me waiting for my response.
"God Brooklyn you're such a bad student. Get your shit together," I chastised smiling at her.
She rolled her eyes, "Come on Styles, that's not fair. You never went to college!"
"That's actually false, I did go to college," I responded.
She thought for a moment and then shook her head at me, "Britian's schooling system is messed up. It makes no sense whatsoever."
"Maybe it's actually America that's screwed up."
She sighed, "You always like to argue about everything I say, don't you."
I nodded grinning. She rolled her eyes again and mumbled that she would be right back as she headed to the counter to order her drink. I watched her as she smiled at the lady behind the counter. They seemed to know eachother. Probably because she basically lives here, I thought smirking to myself.
Brooklyn had jeans on and some sort of purple blouse with a black scarf on and of course she looked beautiful as usual. She walked over to the counter to wait for her drink and noticed turned to look at me. I made a funny face at her and she giggled. Her giggle was one of the most adorable things about her. It rarely happened because usually Brooklyn would just burst out laughing at the slightest of things instead of giggling, but when it did it never failed to make me smile.
