MIRA'S POV

I was all set up to go to the central park. It was the first time I'm going to celebrate Holi with Indians. For many years I haven't celebrated this festival but knowing that Viraj will be here and it could be a chance for us to meet. I'm really excited to meet him. I have decided to look the best today. Taking a look at myself in the mirror I can't help but smile at myself.

I was wearing a sky blue saree with some embroidery and a plain sexy white silky blouse. For sure Viraj is going to drool over me once he sees me. I was beautiful and there was no doubt about it. Aise hi nahi itne saare ladke mere upper fida the. (I am this beautiful that many boys drool over me all the time.)

Without wasting any time and taking my sling bag with myself, I moved towards my car and started the engine. I put on some "Weekend Songs" as I drove amazingly to the Central Park. The images of Viraj and I when we celebrated Holi for the first time in college were still afresh in my mind.

He was so much in love with me back then, he had hid colours in his bag and then come to college as it was not allowed to use colours and stuff in the college premises. But still he coloured me completely and after that we went to a sweet shop owned by an Indian family and ate "sheere wali gujiya".

I stopped the car at the same Indian sweet shop and got five kilograms of the gujiyas packed. His family for sure would love it. I can still remember it's taste even after five six years.

Soon I was at my destination. The Central Park.

I gave a look at the place and it looked so damn beautiful. For the first time in a while I was seeing something as gorgeous as this. There was a big tent with beautiful curtains of white and pinkish colour. They were silky and beautiful. On the side there was a table having beautiful colours in various dishes kept there. Then there was a table with lots of sweets and snacks kept there. Samose, Gujiya, Nan khatai, gulab jamun, kaju katli, papad and chips. And on the next and the last table wwere glasses of thandai. A plan came to my mind and I smirked to myself.

(Meanings -
Samose:- a small pastry turnover, orig. of India, filled with a spicy meat or vegetable mixture, as of potatoes and peas.
Nan khatai:- Nankhatai are traditional Indian shortbread cookies made with all-purpose flour, semolina, sugar and ghee.
Kaju Katli:- Kaju katli is known as Cashew Fudge in English
Papad:- an Indian dough of black gram bean flour, either deep fried or cooked with dry heat
Thandai:- a cannabis-infused drink that includes bhang, a preparation of cannabis, and thus contains THC and other cannabinoids, causing an intoxicating effect when consumed.)

As I was entering into the Central Park, a man came and stopped me. "Invitation card?"

I was astounded. What the hell? Was there any such thing as well. I fidgeted in my purse, acting as if I forgot it.

"I forgot it somewhere I guess..."

"Then sorry we can't let you enter the place." He was stern.

"Who the hell are you to stop me from entering? I'm Mira Birla, do you even know whose daughter I am?"
