Tomas

I am woken by the light streaming in through the window. We must have forgotten to close the black-out curtains last night.

I am about to close my eyes again when I notice Mason.

It seems sometime during the night we ended up in the middle of the bed with Mason's arm slung across my chest, his leg thrown across mine and his head on my shoulder.

No wonder I felt so warm.

I try slowly untangling myself, trying not to wake him but he tightens his hold. I decide to try and go back to sleep. Minutes go by but I won't fall back asleep so I just stare at the ceiling. I end up watching him sleep instead.

More minutes go by and now I need to pee.

"Mason" I say deciding to wake him.

"Hmm?" he says still half-asleep.

"I need to pee."

His eyes fly open and his face flushes when he realizes he is practically on top of me. He quickly untangles himself.

"I am so sorry, I can be a bit of a koala when I sleep. I should have warned you" he says sheepishly.

A koala? Cute.

"I don't really mind but I do need to pee." I say walking to the bathroom.

When I walk out of the bathroom Mason is making the bed. I grab my toothbrush and head back into the bathroom.

A few minutes later Mason walks in."Do you mind if I wash up too?"

"No, go ahead." I reply.

I finish brushing my teeth and ask, "Shower or bathtub?"

"Whichever you prefer."

"Shower then."

The shower is in its own stall of frosted glass so I am not worried about flashing anyone.

When we exit our room the girls are already gathered in the common area.

"And they say girls take forever to get ready." Ava says.

"We would have hurried if we knew you guys were waiting." Mason says.

"We didn't want to wake you guys in case you were still sleeping. Also she's talking about Aiden" Kenzie says.

Just right then he walks out of their room.

"Were you guys talking about me?" he says.

"Yes. I am pretty sure you are the slowest out of all of us at getting ready." Sierra says.

"It's all my fault. I look so effortlessly good looking, I made you think it takes no effort at all." Aiden says.

Ava pretends to gag and Sierra laughs.

After a hearty breakfast we all scatter and do our own thing for a while.

Kenzie, Ava, Sierra and Aiden head to the mall while Mason and I head to the beach.

I mentioned that learning to surf would be cool so he found someone to teach us. I only agreed because he is not paying for it directly, it's just one of the perks of being a guest here.

After hours and hours of learning how to stand on a board and then getting wiped out over and over again in the water, we decide to call it a day.

We grab a late lunch at the café which sits half on the beach and the other half on water and spend the rest of the day in our suite reading and playing games.

"I got us tickets" Ava announces as they enter the suite.

"Huh?"

"I got us tickets for the Hashtag show tonight" Ava says.

"Hashtag is Sierra and Ava's favorite band and they are having a show in Winston tonight. They has been trying to get the rest of us tickets the whole day." Kenzie explains.

"The venue is a 45 minute drive away on a good day so everybody get ready or get left behind." Sierra says, both her and Ava rushing to their rooms.

Aiden and Kenzie follow them so we run to get ready too.

Thirty minutes later we all jump into Mason's car and set off for the concert.

As predicted traffic is bad, we worry we might not make it on time. We get there with 15 minutes to spare but it takes another 10 minutes just to find parking.

In the end we cut it really close, arriving just three minutes before they stop admitting people to the venue.

The band is decent and we spend another night dancing and having fun. I have never danced so much in my life.

When we get back it's a little after midnight.

I open my eyes slowly wondering what woke me up. I remembered to close the curtains last night so it can't be that.

Eyes fully open I realize I am on my back, Mason's head on my shoulder again and our legs are tangled.

It's giving strong déjà vu except Mason's hand is under my shirt. He keeps moving it around which is probably what woke me.

"Mason..."

He opens his eyes slowly looking disoriented then he is moving closer as if trying to figure out who I am.

"Mason?"

He stops moving closer and says, "This is not a dream is it?"

"No, pretty sure we are awake." I say.

This seems to wake him fully, his eyes go wide and he flings himself to his side of the bed.

"Oh my god, I am so sorry."

"You did warn me you are a koala when you sleep"

"That's no excuse to grope you in your sleep." he says, face turning pinker by the second.

"You were asleep too." I say.

"Must have been a good dream though." I can't help but tease him.

"Oh my god" he says covering his face with sheets and then seemingly changing his mind he gets up and runs to the bathroom.
