He passes me on his way to the door.
And that scoundrel does not even acknowledge me, as if I'm a part of furniture in the Clinic hall.

"Arrogant ass". I mutter under my breath.

Shivi di raise her eyebrows, but I just smile sheepishly. I hope she didn't heard what I said.

I turn and start towards the sofa.

Just as I turn, I see that Chandra is also here in the clinic and is sitting on a beanbag, the same coffee brown as the the sofa, well how could he not not be here? He's practically Pranam's better half nowadays.

He's busy on his phone, but it is only polite to greet him. But than I notice that he has noise cancelling earbuds plugged in his ears.

So I drop the idea.

When I seat myself on the sofa, I turn towards Aadab, and raise my eyes in question.

"Yeah, don't look at me like that, we were ready to leave just as you came out that door. But now we're staying because of Sree. So if you want to fault anyone for this awkward situation fault him".

"You could've told me".

"Well, what? That the boy you hate for no reason is here and we should get the hell out of here".

"Not in those words, exactly".

"Dikshu, at least you could've made some..."

I don't finish the sentence because her eyes are lava right now and she's staring at me.

If I suddenly become ash, it would be no surprise.

"What?"

"I did say that I'll be late, to Sree, but he convinced me and now I'll have to witness this situation more awkward than when I have to pretend to look elsewhere when an intimate scene comes in a movie, and I'm watching it with my parents "

That's saying something.

But she usually enjoys drama, so she should be teasing me about this... Oh ..oh..

I realise, that she's talking about Chandra specifically.

" Are you taking about the situation of Pranam and Anaysa or you and Chandra?" Aadab says.

Diksha's ears go slightest bit red, but I notice them nonetheless.

"What problem would I have with Chandra's presence here?" She says in our general direction.

"And I was talking about Aany and Pranam's... situation?"

And that Owl has not removed his eyes from his phone the moment they both came in, and he's as good as deaf right now because of those expensive earbuds.

Don't you think this word situation sounds as if they both had broken up and now seeing each other is embarrassing?"

Diksha is sly as a snake, so swiftly she projected the conversation in my direction.

"No it doesn't".

"It does". Aadab says.

She sees my expression and amends,"only a bit."

"You think it's better?" I hiss.

" Here you go, your snacks. Eat your fill, and I can ring for more afterwards if you want".

All of us look at the sudden appearance of Shivi di. We were too immersed in our conversation to have noticed her coming in our direction.

" No, Di thanks this would be all".
