Broken Promise - Lee Felix SKZ FF, Hyunlix

Felix 3rd person pov

'Who are your friends?' Felix asked.

'Oh. Uh... there's Seungmin, Lee Know, Han, I.N., Changbin, and... uh...' Hyunjin frowned. 'It's on the tip of my tongue... yes, right, Bang Chan.'

Bang Chan... Wasn't that... Chris? Felix sucked in a long breath and jerked his head up in surprise. 'What!?' He blurted out.

'What?' Hyunjin asked, puzzled. 

'Nothing...' Felix said, cheeks turning bright pink from embarrassment. 

'Ok.' Hyunjin accepted that at face value. 

For the rest of the day, they sat on the bottom bunk, exchanging questions. At last, it was time to go to sleep.

'I should go to wo-' Felix started to say, but then broke off. Right, he mentally scolded himself. This isn't the flat. I don't have to go to work.

'Work?' Hyunjin asked, confused. 'What?'

'Nothing, nothing.' Felix waved it away, panicking inside. 

'Mk...' Hyunjin said. 'Why are you wearing a long sleeve? It's like... a million degrees outside.'

Ugh. The long sleeve. Subconsciously, Felix rubbed his left lower arm. That's where he hit him. A long jagged cut, painted on his arm. Yes, the blood had dried so it wouldn't stain the fabric, but it did still hurt. So did his heart. The cut was nothing compared to the ache in his heart.

'Nothing?' Felix asked, hoping it would suffice. 

'OK,' said Hyunjin, not wanting to pry. 'Are you taking the top bunk or the bottom?'

'Which is yours?'

'Bottom.'

'K, I'll take the top.' Felix climbed up the ladder and looked down. He never was very good with heights. Not after seeing his mom hurl herself down a five story building. 

Surprisingly, he slept with dreamless sleep. No dreams to cross the surreal part of his life, when he could finally relax.

In the morning, he woke at ten. He headed to the place where there was an oven, kind of like a tiny kitchen. 

Should I make brownies?  Felix thought. Yes, I should. 

A bajillion years later, Hyunjin went to Felix. 'What are you making?' He asked.

'Brownies, my mom's recipe.' Felix murmured.
