Felix POV:
Hyunjin rapped his knuckles on Lee Know's door. Only a few seconds later, Changbin showed up at the door, a grateful smile on his face.
"Hi Hyunjin! Hi Felix!" He exclaims. "Thank you so much for your offer to help."
"It's alright. They didn't give out too much homework. And it would give me a chance to, y'know, work on my english as well." I reply, smiling back.
Hyunjin steps inside. Lee Know, Chan, Seungmin and I.N were already there. Lee Know had his arm draped over the arm of the couch carelessly and was looking at his phone. Chan and I.N. were comparing homework and Seungmin was mercilessly making fun of the two of them. It looked so...homey.
It would have been my childhood, had my father not taken that path away from me. Then Lee Know's parents appear, and I tense instinctively. Hyunjin notices and slips his hand into mine, which only makes me more tense.
I relax a bit, but probably not enough, because he's giving weird looks.
"Hello! Felix! This must be your new classmate. I hear you're going to tutor them?" Lee Know's father gestured towards Chan and the rest.
I bow. "Just... just Changbin. I think? And nice to meet you."
"So polite!" Lee Know's mother looked over a Lee Know and chided: "Learn from him, child."
Lee Know chuckled. "OK, mom."
They exited, heading for the kitchen, presumably, when Chan, Seungmin and I.N looked my way. "Hi Felix!" They waved, and promptly started arguing again.
"Hi, Felix." Lee Know waved as well. " 'So polite!' " He mimicked his mother. "Show off." He grinned.
"I... Sorry." I looked to the ground.
"It's alright. I was joking." He waved me over. "Do you want food?"
"I want food!" Seungmin piped up. Hyunjin and Lee Know laughed.
Then, the doorbell rang. I stood up to get it, but Hyunjin got there first.
"Sorry, I hope I wasn't too late." Han said, a little breathless, cheeks tinged pink from the slight cold.
"Nono, it's quite alright." Lee Know had appeared behind us, his cheeks also slightly flushed- I wonder why?
"Felixxxxx!" Someone called my name. I jumped. "Coming?" I reply, and backtrack to the other room.
"Felix! Sorry to disturb, but I.N and Seungmin here" Chan shot them an evil look, "Were arguing about the grammar. English." He clarified.
"OK." I rubbed my hands together. "So I help you guys and then you." I chin-pointed to Changbin.
"Yes! Please?" He squeals.
"So... I guess, erm, get your stuff?" I tell Changbin.
"Y'know what Mr Brown would say to that, right, Felix? Remember? 'Such leadership!' " Chan chuckles. "You do remember Mr Brown...?"
"Oh yeah. I do." Mr Brown was our grade seven teacher. Back then, in Australia.
Chan smiled gently. I can still remember when he was younger, impulsive, running around and jumping everywhere. He's changed so much. But then, what hasn't?
"Ahem?" Seungmin ahem-ed.
"OKOK. So..." I glanced at his sheet. "There are some minor grammar and spelling errors, and I would recommend using more sophisticated vocabulary. Like... how you wrote 'it was sort of bad'. You could change that to...like... 'The thing in question wasn't the best thing that happened in my life, et cetera et cetera.' " I say.
"Always the over-achiever, Felix. Oh hi Han!" Chan waved.
"HI! It's the tutorfest, isn't it?" Han laughs.
"Yep! And Felix is the tutor." Chan smirks. "Taking over my "Daddy" role, thank goodness." I raise an eyebrow.
"OKOKOK. Felix, helppppp." Han and Hyunjin say simultaneously, then glare at each other. Soon, though, they burst out laughing.
I look at Lee Know and Chan, but they just shrug.
"Alright, so I'm just going to start on the grammar then..." I begin.
I'm really sorry for not updating in so long. Got carried away reading stuff. Highly recommend Renegades by Marissa Meyer. SOO GOOOOODDDDD.
Also, I recommend the Wattpad story "The Grandson of Voldemort" by @UraniumBrownies for all Percy Jackson and Harry Potter fans.
Bye bye, and don't expect another update in a long long time.
