Life is not easy. It wasn't always like this though. It just started with one broken promise. How powerful a few words can be.
Felix took one last look at his now empty room. Everything was packed into a suitcase. He sighed.
'Felix! Get down here this instant!' A voice yelled sharply from across the hall.
Felix winced, it was his abusive father. He came, dragging his suitcase behind him. There his father sat, his words a little slurred from the alcohol he drank.
'Good riddance. Now... get out. Don't have to look at your ugly face no more.' He grinned drunkenly, punching Felix in the jaw. 'Pathetic excuse for a son.'
Felix was more that happy to have an excuse to get out. Half running and half walking, he exited the apartment they lived in. Then he started the long walk from here to the train station.
'Well,' he said to himself. 'Time to go to one of the best universities in Korea. Life is fine.'
A bajillion years later, he arrived. The tall building amazed Felix as he slowly walked in, admiring the sparkling glass and the tall bent trees swaying in the gentle breeze. His heart pounded loudly but rhythmically.
Taking a deep breath, he pushed the main doors open. The doors did not like that, since it creaked and complained loudly.
'Principal's office, then upstairs.' He directed himself to the second door on his left, labeled Principal's Office.
Felix knocked twice and pushed the door open. A kindly-looking lady in her mid-forties was sitting in a chair.
She looked up when she saw him. 'Hi, Lee Felix, isn't it?'
Felix nodded mutely. 'Alright here's your dorm key, you can ask Hyunjin about the classes, he's your dorm mate.' She said, handing him a key and a slip of paper. 'Your room is 435'
'Thanks.' Felix bowed once before he turned and pushed open the door. He went a a few flights of stairs, then finally found his dorm.
Placing the key in, Felix pushed open the door. It was huge. A bunk bed, two tables, and a closet like thing. He dragged his suitcase in and plopped onto the bottom bed of the bunk bed.
A few minutes later, the bathroom door opened. A boy with shoulder length hair stepped out. He smiled warmly when he saw Felix. 'Hi, I'm Hyunjin.'
'Hi?'
Then, the boy- Hyunjin, was it? - asked the strangest question.
'Are you scared of me?'
Sorry for the late update and short chapter. Updates will probably be once or twice every two weeks. There will be swear words from now on.
