Broken Promise - Lee Felix SKZ FF, Hyunlix

Felix POV: 

It's been a long time since my dreams were this bad. Because my mother died a year ago, my dreams have quit dwelling on that subject. Perhaps seeing Chan triggered them. Anyhow, it didn't make it any less depressing.

I fell asleep quickly - I was quite tired. But then the face of my mother appeared, and I was transported into nightmares.

We - my mother and I - were standing on a balcony, our balcony of our apartment, my mother perched on the edge. 

"Please, don't." I begged. That was me, one year ago. 

"Felix, I'm sorry. I have to. I can't live like this anymore." She replied, eyes fixed on the horizon.

"And leave me here? With him? Please, mom, don't." I demanded, eyes sparkling with unshed tears. "Please. If you do it, I'll come too."

"No, Felix, honey, don't. Live your life. Please. My last wish." My mother smiled sadly. "Felix, I love you." 

Then she jumped.

I screamed, seeing her body on the asphalt 5 stories below, a pool of blood already forming beneath her.

My father came out, drunk as usual, and hissed in anger. "What happened?" He asked, his voice slurring as he spoke. "Where's she?" He proceeded to glance down, seeing her body splayed out on the ground. "You killed her! You murdered her!" He roared, and beat me harshly. 

Pain.

A lot of pain.

And then...

"Felix..." A voice rang out.

"Felix, wake up." Something was hitting me on the face. Not hard, but a soft slap.

"Don't hurt me..." I curled into a ball. 

"I won't. Felix, wake up." Instead of lightly slapping me on the face, it was shaking me gently.

My eyes open. Hyunjin's face looms over me, etched with concern.

"Sorry." I whisper.

"It's alright. Sorry I woke you up. It's just that you were screaming." He smiles at me. His face looks eerie in the darkness, for half of it was shadowed. 

"I was screaming?"  A flush rose up to my face. I was grateful that it was dark, so Hyunjin couldn't see. 

"Yeah. You were. It's alright." He says quickly. "Go back to sleep. See you in the morning."

"Sure."

Yeah, sorry for the long wait. School has kept me busy...
