When I got dressed and exited my room, Kat was waiting for me outside my door.

"Wanna go get coffee with me?" She asked.

"Of course." I replied, grabbing my phone and my wallet. As Kat drove, her expression switched from content to sad.

"I wanna say I'm sorry for what went down last night." She said, parking in the Starbucks lot.

"It's fine, Kat. I'm putting it behind me."

"I hope Sam does that too, he was so upset last night. He didn't talk to me at all until he woke up."

"I have something to tell you." I blurted, regretting it immediately.

"What's wrong?"

"You know that I slept in Colby's room last night."

"Yeah?"

"We might have hatched a plan to mess with Sam."

"I'm in." She said, zero hesitation whatsoever.

"Good, I'm gonna need your help."

"Coffee first. You've got the boy's orders, right?"

"Yep. Let's go before all of the middle-aged white women get here."

When we made it back home, Sam was at the table editing. Kat handed him his coffee and got a kiss in return. When I tried to walk by, he grabbed my arm.

"What's up, Sam?" I asked, standing behind him, forcing him to look up.

"Can we talk?" His voice was soft and sincere, a tone I hadn't heard from him in a little while.

"Of course."

"Wanna go out for dinner? I'll buy it."

"That sounds nice."

"We're good, right?"

"I'm a little upset still, but I'll get over it." I ruffled his blonde hair up and offered him a reassuring smile. "We're good, Sam."

He gave me a fist bump and let go of my arm. I wandered up the stairs with two cups of coffee in my hands, turning into my room. Setting one on my desk, I pulled out my phone and flopped on my bed.

Mads> U up yet?
Colbs> Yeah, I just got dressed.
Mads> Come here, I have something for u.
Colbs> Ur room?
Mads> Yes

I yelled "Come in" as soon as I heard the knock at the door, knowing damn good and well who it was. Colby wandered in, looking around.

"Your coffee's on my desk." I said, not looking up from my laptop.

"Thanks." He grabbed it and joined me on the bed, laying across me, his chest on my knees.

"Sam invited me to dinner tonight. He says he wants to talk."

"Let me know how that goes."

"I've gotta shoot a video today. Yay." I whined.

"You chose this career."

"Shut up and drink your coffee."

"Yes, ma'am."

"Do you know where our next haunted destination is?" No response. I looked over to make sure he hadn't silently choked. "Colby."

"You told me to shut up."

"You're an ass. Just for that, you get to be in my video."

"I'm down."

"It's a Q&A livestream." He wrinkled his nose like he smelled something foul.

"Yeah, I don't know about that one, chief."

I stood up and walked out to the edge of the stairs and cupped my hands around my mouth.

"Sam! Kat!"

"What?" They yelled.

"I'm doing a livestream at noon, you guys want in?"

"Sure." Sam yelled.

"Is it the Q&A you were telling me about?" Kat hollered.

"Yes."

"I'm in."

As promised, the three of them assembled in my room at noon. I sat in my chair at my desk and Kat brought hers down the hall while Sam and Colby sat on the edge of my bed. I opened the livestream and did my dorky little intro, earning a smirk and a muffled chuckle from Sam.

"You know these two." I said, pointing at the boys. "If you don't, you're probably living under a rock. This is my annoying older brother, Sam and his best friend, Colby, and sitting next to me is Kat Stuart. You three are going to be answering questions they ask." I pointed to my monitor where questions were flooding my inbox already.

"Oh God, that's a lot of people." Sam said, leaning forward to look at the rising viewer count.

"Are you ready?"

"Let's do this." Colby answered, chugging part of the Red bull in his hand. Kat and Sam both nodded.

"First question. Pretty easy, what is your favorite food?"

"Mexican." Sam replied.

"Ew, pasta all the way." Kat said, wrinkling her nose.

"I agree with Kat, I'll take a bowl of Alfredo over a taco." I added. "Colby?"

"Just a plain cheeseburger with ketchup, fries, and a soda." He answered.

"No pickles?"

"Hell no. Pickles are nasty."

"Says you."
