"Do take care for the two weeks." (y/n)'s mum kissed her cheek while they stood by the fireplace. They were heading off to spend Christmas with Poppy's family for Christmas, she was originally meant to go along as well but with a request from both the twins and Fleur (y/n) decided to spend her holiday at the burrow. Even with Mrs Weasley being overly chummy with her it still didn't sit right with her.
"I will and I'll get Davis to pick up your gifts from the post office before Christmas Eve." She gave them both a hug just before they left. Afterwards, she went to her bedroom to finish packing along cleaning up the house. This would need to be done before she left since the house would be left unattended for some time.
"Right and here we go." Taking hold of her luggage she spun once apparating to the burrow. Her boots stood in the thinly coated snow while she gathered herself again putting her wand away.
"Darling." George cheered from the doorway, they arrived the day before. She smiled beginning to walk over to him but he came over taking hold of her bag.
"Has everyone arrived?" She asked walking inside with him, George held the door open for her.
"Lupin got here just before and Serius isn't coming over until dinner tonight. Late Christmas shopping I suspect." Just before she could say another word Fleur sprinted from around the corner giving her a tight hug.
"(y/n) you're here." Her grip was tight and (y/n) when hugging back saw Fred standing by the stairs grinning at her. "I'm so happy you made it. When you finish unpacking we must catch up." Then Molly came down the stairs.
"(y/n) dear you've made it." She saw Fleur standing with (y/n) and her bright smile faltered for a moment. Fleur stood next to her looping her arms with hers in an attempt not to be overlooked. It seemed the generosity Molly gave (y/n) wasn't reciprocated by Fleur. "I think Bill was looking for you." She said to Fleur and then pulled (y/n) into a bear hug. Fleur went off to find Bill. "Now I'm not quite sure about the bedding situation but..."
"She can bunk with us," Fred said jumping up behind his mother who gave him a quick glare.
"No, she will not. If I hear you ask one more time you won't be eating Christmas dinner."
"Oh come oh we've slept in the same bed before and...." Molly gave Fred a warning look so he shut up both hands raised.
"For now you can leave your bags in one of the bedrooms while I sort out with sleeping situation." She was now in deep thought and as Molly went on thinking, George's hand went to (y/n)'s lower waist pulling her forward further into the house.
"Let's put these away." He whispered, Fred took hold of (y/n)'s hand leading them up through the staircase and into what she assumed was their bedroom. The boxes that littered the room originally were gone now leaving two single beds and suitcases at the end of each.
"I can't believe Mum. Does she really think after all this time she can force you into another room? We've been dating for two years." Fred mumbled mostly to himself and (y/n) sat down on the bed taking off her larger coat for the cold weather outside.
"It is her house." (y/n) breathed. She may not be entirely fond of Molly at the moment. Especially with how she's still treating Fleur but it's Molly's home.
"I can't believe you thought you could convince her." George chuckled putting the suitcase by the door ready to be moved later on.
"Fred, mum wants you to help bring up the camp beds," Ginny called out from the hallway and Fred groaned walking off.
"I noticed Mum had knitted you a sweater for Christmas." George smiled sitting down next to her.
"And Fleur?" He shrugged a little and (y/n) knew that meant she didn't get one. She of course knew the comments Fleur had on the burrow and some things she said were rather harsh but it in her opinion was mostly to do with Fleur still fully learning English. She never meant to hurt anyone's feelings.
