(y/n) was lying under Poppy's little yellow car banging a new part into place in her parent's shed. She took the weekend off from working, saying to the twins she was with Poppy and Davis. Which she technically was, but under the car while Poppy was outside breastfeeding.
"Are you sure about this?" Davis said, (y/n) could see his feet just in front of her. "Not telling anyone I mean." This was the third time he'd said this since she brought up her plan last week.
"The less people know the better. Remember the vision? Madeye dies and George gets hurt. This way we can move about undetected." She put down the hammer to grab the next part.
"And if we explode?" She paused immediately rolling out to glare at Davis.
"Are you doubting my mechanic skills?" Davis rolled his eyes at her crossing his arms.
"Well you did only read up about it for only two weeks and you're modifying the car. There isn't a manual with that." (y/n) rolled her eyes next moving back under the car.
"I asked a lot of questions about Arther's old car. I know enough." There was a crack outside so (y/n) thought her parents must have gotten home.
"And what did you tell the twins?" Davis said so (y/n) let out a sigh.
"I told you already, I said that I was with you and Poppy." She just finished with the last part before she was up to the engine.
"Well, they're here now." She hit her head on the engine while jumping trying to see what he was talking about. Rolling back out she could just see George talking with Poppy.
"What? Davis help me up." He grabbed hold of her hand hoisting her up out from under the car just as Fred opened the double doors.
"Since when can you fix a muggle car?" She glanced at Davis while he just looked at her arching his eyebrow.
"Just last week. Read up about them since Poppy said something was wrong with her car." Davis stepped out from the small corner they were in towards Fred.
"And you are here for?"
"The order is coming over for dinner tonight." That was tonight? And of all days she decided to work on the car. "Did you both forget?"
"Dad brain and all that, hey that means you can help me get the wood chopping." Davis tapped Fred's shoulder and the two left the shed. Questions were bound to be asked over the dinner table. And Arther did in fact know enough about muggle cars to see her alterations if he turned it on. So. (y/n) popped the hood taking out the spark plug. That should solve it.
"Love you in here?" George knocked on the shed door and (y/n) popped her head from behind the car. "Dinners almost ready."
"Right yes." She looked down at her clothes and sighed. This really wasn't the outfit she should be having dinner in. Using a cleaning charm for the grime on her face she rushed past George. "I'll just change." She could hear him chuckle while heading into the house.
"(y/n) You forgot about tonight did you?" Her mother asked while carrying in some plates to the dining table.
"Yeah, I'll be ready soon though and help with dinner." By the time she came back down dinner was being served and Davis was looking directly at her eyes tense.
"So it's in agreement? We'll use Polijuice potion on volunteers." Madeye grumbled. They must have had a meeting previously before this. But why wasn't she a part of it? "(y/n) glad you could join us this time." She knitted her eyebrows together but before she could say another word Fred butted in.
"Yep, she's all better now." His hand looped her hers as ever started eating again. " I've already got a plate for you, in the living room." The adults were in the kitchen with just having enough seats for them but the twins, Hermione and Ron sat around the couches of the living room. Poppy must have been upstairs feeding the baby before she ate.
