(y/n) was helping Serius with the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve morning while Ginny was putting up paper chains she had been making the past few days.
"Right and the decorations?" He asked and (y/n) looked behind her to Ginny.
"Oh in the shed." She said trying to reach above the fireplace. Serius went to help. Putting on her coat (y/n) ventured outside. The boys were outside gathering vegetables for Christmas dinner but she didn't think to hear Fred shouting about something.
"Ouch. Stupid bloody thing. Stupify!" (y/n) came over seeing George holding up a now frozen gnome.
"What happened?"
"It bit my ankle. What are you doing out here? Mum got more chorse for us?" (y/n) saw the stack of vegetables they all held in baskets and fixed her coat a little from the cold.
"No, I was just getting some tree decorations from the shed." The twins grinned widely and she knew what that look meant.
"I think I know exactly where to put this gnome Fred, do you?"
"I do indeed, let's see if we have any gold paint lying about. Don't put the star on alright (y/n)." Fred kissed her quickly before they went running off back into the house.
Christmas Eve night (y/n) had finished wrapping all the gifts for everyone and was now reading a book on the couch with her left hand playing with George's hair as he was in the middle of a game of exploding snap with Fred and Ginny. Molly was trying to play the stereo but with the weather outside it seemed to be playing up. So Mr Weasley was messing about with the stereo.
"So (y/n) for the wedding what music can you play?" Fleur asked turning away from Bill. (y/n) looked up from her book.
"Anything really, I could practice some French songs if you like?" Fleur seemed rather excited about the prospect of (y/n) singing French at the wedding or maybe it was talking about the wedding in general.
"That sounds wonderful." George leant back slightly so his shoulders touched her legs.
"You could sing something now. Like a Christmas sort of thing." He smiled and (y/n) blushed.
"It would sound better than the static." Fred grinned and (y/n) shook her head.
"No, I can't I'm not prepared." Lupin and serius were both whispering about something but everyone else seemed to pipe up at the conversation.
"That would be wonderful dear. We even have the piano set up." Although the piano was scattered with books and random nick-nacks around it Molly was right, Mr Weasley wanted to show off the piano he got from work. She really didn't want to in fact with everyone looking at her (y/n) sunk deeper into the couch. (y/n) did need to work on her performances but without knowing a single song at this moment it would be rather difficult. At least that's what she was telling herself.
"It doesn't even need to be about Christmas," Fleur said piping up once more. Sucking in a breath she stood from the couch and grabbed out her small bag reaching in for a music sheet. (y/n) had been working on some music on and off while at the burrow the past few weeks. After relaxing on the seat for a moment she worked up the courage to play.
The next morning (y/n) was woken up by a slam on the girl's bedroom door. Both (y/n) and Ginny jumped up in the bed they were sharing to see Fred standing at the door in his pyjamas grinning widely.
"Get out Fred! One of us could have been changing." She tossed a pillow right across the room and it landed on the door as he shut it just in time not to get hit. "Merry Christmas, I'm going to use the bathroom." Ginny left quickly leaving (y/n) on the bed and Fleur who was still half asleep in the room.
