Last night not a wink of sleep came, it was like a nightmare the way I got humiliated by him was horrible. My mind is telling me to leave him, tell my family about his feelings and thoughts and never to cross paths with him again, but my heart? She is telling me to sacrifice my ego and stay... She has hope... She says to wait. She asks why I am acting like this when I already knew that my heart will be broken.
I wore a yellow saree, redo my sindoor and applied a light red lip tint and obviously a red bindi.

I came downstairs and went straight inside the kitchen, it's the best place to avoid people. I helped the cooks these days with their breakfast so today also I want to do the same. But to my bad luck there was my father in law standing and cooking something.
"Baba...?" I called.
(Father)
He looked at me with a smile,"Oh Minakshi..! What do you wanna have for breakfast?" He asked.
"Are you cooking breakfast? What happened to the cooks?" I asked.
He continued doing his work and replied,"I always love cooking, for few days I took a break and here I am back with it. I cook breakfast, lunch, dinner everything. Sometimes the cook help me with it or they cook the uncool and basic foods which I don't like cooking." He giggled with his eyes close.
I smiled at him,"Me too! I also love cooking and taking care of the house... Loving people and taking care of everyone! I wanna be a housewife!" I exclaimed and he gave me a weird look.
My smile dropped,"I know these days it's kinda illegal to be a housewife, I liked those days when people had the freedom to choose whatever they want nowadays everyone wants money... What about love? And as a woman if I say that I want to be a housewife they act like I want to attempt suicide." I scoffed.
"Well it's because in the western countries women had the roles of being a housewife and men as the breadwinner. Now women don't want that role so they are protesting against it and that became a trend." He answered.
"But we had nothing like that so why do we bother?" I asked.
"Because for some reasons we always compare ourselves with them, whereas our lives were so different from their life but mixed culture made things like this. And the thing in your hand is the reason behind it." My father in law said and took out plates to arrange the food.
