Xiao's POV

Venti and Aether said their goodbyes then walked away, me closing the door. I turned around to see my dad looking at me with an stern and serious face.

Oh archons im gonna be killed aren't i-

My dad (zhongli) cleared his throat then spoke in an very cold tone "Xiao Morax, WHY DID YOU RETURN AT HOME AT 8 F**KING PM". I feel myself shiver at his words as i explain that i met Venti and met up and chatted.

He just sighed then let me off the hook. Yes! I thought to myself.

I ate my dinner, did my routine which then went to my room and watch tiktoks all night absolutely ignoring the fact i have school tommorow.

It is now 3 am and xiao unconsciously drifted to sleep.

Xiao's POV

I woke to find myself inside an oddly and uncomfortably familiar room, a little too familiar. I feel my stomach rumbling like it hasn't eaten in a while.

I got up my bed and looked in the mirror to see myself but more younger, paler, and thinner...

I walked to the door and saw my friends..my family waiting for me. "Xiao! Xiao! Your finally awake" ______said which to _____ agreed cheerfully, _______ just stood there quietly watching us, "lets go and play Xiao!"______ said, energetic as usual. I nodded and went outside my room to play, "hey thats unfair!" _______ said "well if your beetle wasn't being stupid maybe you wouldve won!" ______ said. I just sat the while ______ is combing my hair. I feel so complete, but at the same time not.

_______ was chasing __________ until _________ accidentaly hit an vase making it shatter. All of us were shocked and scared, i was trembling clinging onto ______ shoulder.

"CHILDREN WHAT WAS THAT!?" Our care taker yelled, coming up to us who was raging mad, "I-it was an accident, i swear!!" _______ tried to explain, but they didn't listen they took out the wooden stick, making ________ tremble, "I-IM SORRY I SWEAR, IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!!" She said but she was dragged into the punishing room and...we could hear the cries and screams of agony and pain while hearing the stick beat her up...

After they were done they left her inside the room, bleeding and before i knew it she wasn't breathing anymore...."hey, wake up.." i said shaking her body, but no response, "HEY, WAKE UP!!" i said again, my breath shakey as i shake her body violently, before i knew it, she was..dead.

I felt sick to my stomach, i cried violently as a tremble, one of my friends found me and took me back to my room.

After what seemed like forever, it was finally night time, i was just sweeping to floor until i realized it's passed the curfew. I immedietly ran to the door and try to open it, but it was locked shut so i had no choice but to sleep on the floor.

After getting comfortable i fell asleep, but then i smelled smoke, i immedietly opened my eyes to see fire surrounding around the corners. My eyes widened at the view i saw. I tried to open the door and knock on it violently but it was locked shut and they were sleeping peacefully. My eyes watered again as i kept trying and trying but there was no use..

The door wouldn't open...i clenched my fist, despair taking over me then i realized that the fire was going straight to  the door, i panicked then ran as fast as i could, running downstairs, as i got there i tried opening the door, heck even punching it, but it was locked shut...there was no point on trying to survive, but just die, wouldn't it? I feel my body shaking, i feel the emotion of despair, grief, and anger take inside of me, i feel my tears drop down to the floor, as i could smell the fire smoke, i could feel myself black out, and so i did.

I woke up again, gasping for air, sitting up, i could feel my heartbeat rapidly, i was shaken, i then looked around my surroundings to see that it is my room again. I felt relieved yet grieved at the same time, i feel my chest tighten as i broken down.

It was just an horrible nightmare..

In this dream i was talking about the 5 yakshas, and they lived in a orphanage and like yeah.

Anyways, i wrote this at 4 am after an breakdown so if this feels like not angsty enough, just let me know! And dont mind me not adding the names, it was 4 am and i forgot. And why am i posting this now if it was 4 am earlier? Because i slept before i could publish this.
