Aether's POV

I woke up in the morning as i feel something warm snuggling against my chest, while i feel hands and legs wrapped around me like some teddy bear, as i look down i saw xiao....XIAO.

My face suddenly heats up like an tomato, i just realized i slept with my best friend (no, not THAT type >:[ ).

I was panicking until i saw his face, his adorable and peaceful look while snuggling againts my chest, the light shining upon him while he takes slow breaths, his cute and little arms wrapped around my body and his petite (i ran out of words to use👍) body cuddling againts mine, HE WAS JUST TOO CUTE!

I just sighed then melted into his embrace, hugging him back as i play with his hair.

Xiao's pov

I open my eyes to feel warm arms wrapped around my body, i squirmed around then heard a grunt by an familiar voice, i looked up and see aether looking at me weirdly, i felt my face heat up as i realized i snuggled against his chest.

"Oh, your awake! Goodmorning, Xiao!" He said with his warm and charming smile, his arms still wrapped around me. "O-oh um, i- goodmorning..?" I said awkwardly, oh this is embarrassing..

Aether got up then pulled me up too, intertwining his fingers around mine, pulling me into a sitting position as he manages to drag me to the kitchen.

He then prepares toasts for our breakfast, after we finished eating, i then excused myself to shower.

Timeskip

After taking a shower, Aether already took one at the guests bathroom, his hair down, slightly soaked, already wearing the uniform, as he fixes his tie, oh have mercy he looks so hot right now-

I gulped as he stared at me with an warm and friendly smirk on his face, his cheeks bright red.

"Oh your done showering?" He asked finished fixing his uniform. I gulped as i nodded, hiding my face away because of how red my face was.

"Alright then! You can go get yourself ready", i nodded then closed my door as he heads out. I then put on my uniform, with an black oversized hoodie, as my hair looks ruffled yet messy but who cares? Certainly not me. I decided to put on some red eyeliner then my shoes then were good to go.

I then went downstairs to see Aether waiting for me with his bag, (just pretend he already got his back dropped off).

I saw him look at me weirdly with an dark red tint across his face as i raise an eyebrow, "dude you lookin at me weirdly" i said as he shakes his head, "u-uhm sorry, dont mind me" he said akwardly then smiled, i just nodded then we hed our way to school.

As we walk to school, we talked a little bit, well i mostly do the listening while aether kept talking, which to any person i could just ignore them but its different with aether around, hes just..different.

I feel myself smile a little bit but stopped after a second because i think my smile is ugly on me..

But he then looked at me then smiled widely, "AWWW, DID YOU SMILE AT ME??" he asked enthusiastically as i flinched, "n-noo.." i mummbled looking away, "hehe, admit it~" he said teasingly as i scoff, "three words, its.nunya.business" i said as i look away, he just chuckles then we continued walking until we reached the school halls.

As we walk through them i could hear the students whispers..i felt a sense of anxiety as my hands were shaking, Aether noticed it then took my hand, grabbing it gently, allowing mw to squeeze his hand, "just dont mind them" he whispered into my ear with an soft tone, i just nodded, continuing to walk with our hands intertwined to each other.

As the walk felt like forever, we finally got inside our homeroom, our hands quickly unlink from each other as we went to our chairs, i was about to bring up the topic but then a bunch of our classmates bombarded Aether, pushing me aside making me fall of my chair as they question aether what happened and why was he absent, aether couldnt answer because he was being interrupted by worries and questions while they didnt even bothered to ask why I was absent, i mean, its no shock at all anymore..this always happens.

I just sat on the floor staying silent while one of my classmate noticed then looked at me weirdly, "stop sitting at the floor, weirdo", ouch that hurts.

I just stood up then sat at the very back, the classmates finally stopping when the teacher arrives, they all went to their respective seats, making me return to mine, Aether looked at me with worry then tapped my shoulder which made me flinch, "hey, are you alright?" He asked in such a gentle tone, i nodded then looked away.

After a few hours of boring classes it was finally lunch time, then sat with aether and his friends, all of them bombarded us with questions talking about how worried they were, pft as if, their probably talking about aeth-

"Xiao, are you ok?" Scaramouche asked tapping me by the shoulder while the rest of the group looked at me, i realized i was zoning out for 10 minutes now, i cleared my throat then nodded, i just stayed quiet as they were talking, aether got pulled away from the group, getting flooded with questions for his absence for one day.

I just looked at them then sighed. I turned back to the group to see Venti looking at me with an concerned look while the other 3 were talking.

"Xiao, do you wanna..skip school?" Venti asked which made my eyes widened, this was the first time he ever skipped school, "uhm, i guess?" I replied hesitantly, he smiled then stood up, grabbing my wrist, "me and xiao gotta go to the clinic, im not feeling well~!!" Venti said with an fake cough as he drags me away.

We made it through the back doors of the school, sneaking away past the guards, as we made it out of that hell hole, he giggles then drags me away through an ice cream shop, "what flavor do you want? My treat!" He asks bringing out his wallet, "wow, you? Treating somebody? Thats new.." i said teasingly as he huffs, "HEY! your lucky that im the one gonna pay!!" He said as i just chuckle "fine, i want an honey almond ice cream" i said as he smiles then nodded, "OK! One mint chocolate ice cream with chocolate syrup and one honey almond ice cream" he said enthusiastically slamming down the money, "ok, ma'am" the cashier said taking the money, i cackled as Venti looked flabbergasted. "Im a guy, excuse me sir!!" He said crossing his arms, the cashier looked shocked then quickly apologised.

As we got our ice cream we sat at an vacant seat while we eat our ice creams, "so how are you feeling now?" Venti asked me finishing his bowl. "Uhm, i guess ok?" I said hesitantly as he nodded, "are they bothering you again?" He asked, looking at me with an worried look and tone, i just nodded as i continue to eat my ice cream.

"How did you know.." i asked looking down, he just sighed then looked at me caringly, "your my cousin, i know when you are upset" he said in a worried yet caring tone, i looked back at him then sighed, "so why.." "hm?" "Why are you doing this..?" I asked, he looks at me then smiled, not the enthusiastic smile we all know and love, but an...caring and soft one..

"Because im the best cousin you'd ever have, Xiao!!"
