"Say what!!?" both Naruto and Sasuke yelled at lady Tsunade at the same time. Shizune face-palmed, as if she knew this was going to happen.

"That is the best setting I could get the rest of the elders to agree upon. Take it or leave it. But know this, if you're not fine with this arrangement, then Sasuke would be put to an actual trial for a decision to be made about him, and till then he'll need to stay in jail. Now, if that's okay with you..." Tsunade stated calmly.

"No way! Sasuke saved the world! They can't just put him in jail forever!"

"Listen to me Naruto first, they're not going to put him in jail forever. It's only till they arrive at a verdict. But arriving at a verdict itself is going to take a lot of time so Sasuke will have to stay in jail for that interval."

"But... "

"Stop cutting me off, Naruto!" Tsunade yelled, "If we are to avoid a situation like that, the elders have agreed that they'd have no problem with the entire Sasuke-trial, if Sasuke were to be put under a constant surveillance of the greatest war hero who saved the world and that is you. So, in other words, if Sasuke stays with you, he won't have to face any trial or punishment and his charges will be dropped. However, he'll still need to contribute a lot towards the leaf's development."

"No that's fine" this time it was Sasuke who spoke up. "I've already caused a lot of problems for the village. And besides... " 'Naruto is going to be the hokage after a few years, I cannot slow him down by being an obstacle for him' he thought, never completing the sentence. "I'll do what the elders have decided for me and wait for the verdict..."

But Naruto cut him off, "Like hell you will! You've been away for so long that I forgot how you even looked like when you were bad-mouthing me!! No way, I'm letting those nosy elders take you away from me again! I definitely won't! I'm your home Sasuke, don't entrust yourself to those oldies, give yourself to me!!" he kinda yelled that part, loud enough for the entire ward to hear. What he actually meant was Sasuke shouldn't go with the elders and agree to the plan of sharing an apartment with Naruto, but little did he know, his words sounded wrong... so wrong.

A massive blush crawled up on Sasuke's face as he felt his stomach flip. Just what on earth was this dobe talking about!?

"Y-Y-You u-u-usuratonkachi!!! What the hell are you saying...!!!! Just watch your phrases!"

"But Sasuke! I don't want you to go to those old elders!! You just came back! I'm much better an option!!"

"That's not what I was saying!! The way you said that... no wonder you're an idiot!"

"Just who are you calling an idiot, teme!!"

"You idiot! Idiot idiot idiot!"

"Teme teme teme!!"

And as they were butting heads once again, Tsunade and Shizune stood silently, carrying a what-on-earth-is-happening-again look, 'Ah young love ~' they both thought.

Anyways, with the atmosphere calmer than before and Sasuke's blush 'almost' leaving his face, they both looked at lady Tsunade once again.

"So, it's decided. Sasuke and Naruto, you two will be sharing an apartment from this day on. Naruto's apartment is pretty small but since it carries a significant importance for Naruto, I'll let him decide if he wants to move back in or want a new apartment."

"I've always pushed people away from me. Finally, I've been put into the right path by a certain knuckleheaded ninja and I feel like I should've been more open. So, I think it'll be okay if we go back to his old place for now, it'll help me in understanding Naruto a little more." said Sasuke, pretty confident and sure of what he was saying, 'Besides, I'll finally get to actually know you and everything you've had to endure till now. I'll finally understand you and get a little closer...' his thoughts were immediately halted, when his mind went into a frenzy, 'wait... what do I mean by 'closer'........we're already best friends, what more could I want......?'
