Always and forever (choni oneshot)

After the comet (pt1)

As a big boom fills the town of Riverdale, everyone squeezes their eyes tightly, as they grab their loved one as hard as they could, some imagining it was someone else - their eyes open slowly they are all surprised to not be dead. Cheryl Blossom successfully melted the comet and somehow left the 'Riverdalians' who had been brought back to live, still alive. As everyone came out of their house, or wherever they were hiding the virtue of reality was alas seeping in. As Toni Topaz steps out of the bunker she has one thought, and one thought only. Cheryl.

"Fangs, we should go to Pops. Make sure everyone else is okay," Toni smiles, rubbing her husband's back. As if it was cosmic a beep of all the phones rings Toni and Fangs stare at their phones.

Archie to group

Meet at Pops.

As Toni, Fangs and Anthony slowly roll up at Pops, they see the group standing on the outside surrounding something, Toni quickly leaves her family and heads towards whatever had the attention of her peers.

There Cheryl was laying on the ground, unconscious with her head bleeding, Toni quickly falls to her knees and grabs Cheryl's hand.

"Cheryl," Toni says panicked, she begins to shake her and then feels her pulse, "Her pulse is still there. But faint. Did someone call 911?"

Tabitha nods her head while tears stream down her face, Toni looks around at the facial expressions of everyone, tears are streaming down everyone's face other than Fangs and Anthonys. Soon Toni feels the tears slip out of her eyes but she quickly wipes them.

Heather quickly pushes everyone to the side and her face drops when she sees Cheryl in such a state, she drops to the other side of the redhead. Toni quickly gets up to give the two space.

"Everyone gives Cheryl some space, Toni I need you to stay," Heather says staring at Toni, everyone gives them their space.

"How is this even possible? Doesn't she have Archies' invulnerability," Toni laughs at the last part because of how crazy this all is.

"The comet sucked all of her powers away other than her Phoenix ones apparently," Heather says rubbing her temples

"Isn't there some spell you can do to wake her up?" Toni yells frustrated as she feels the heartbeat of her first love slowly slip away.

"There is one but it's far too complicated. I am going to go into the woods to see if I can find any of the proper materials for spellcasting. Put her head in your lap and apply pressure to her head," heather says getting up and heading towards the tree line, she quickly turns around to Toni, "And Toni if she loses her heartbeat, you will have a few moments to bring her back to life. Five exactly. Do whatever you have to do. Understand?"

Toni nods and fixes her position for Cheryl to lay between her thighs, she takes off Cheryl's coat and soaks up some of the blood, Toni laughed to herself thinking how the redhead would rather die than have blood on her designer clothes.

"Cher, I don't know if you can hear me. I hope you can. But if you can I need you to wake up. Please. The town needs you... I need you," Toni cries, she quickly checks the pulse and it is fading.

The ambulance sirens are off in the distance and grow louder and louder as they pull up into the parking lot. Two men jump out of the back with a stretcher, they race over to Toni and grab Cheryl, Toni helps them lift her up. She grabs Cheryl's hand not ready to let go of her.

"Excuse me, Ma'am, what is your relationship with the patient?" The EMT workers say

Toni thinks for a second and if it is on reflex she was going to say girlfriend, but then she realized they aren't dating. She thinks about saying friend but even that term is loosely used. After all, she and the redhead never hung out or even texted. So really what even were they if not strangers with memories? But even that seemed too loose.
