Three weeks have passed since that night. Most lives have returned to normal in the town and the lives of the citizens.

Cheryl Blossom's life was not deemed normal, though. She was happy - something she deemed as rare. She and Toni had become closer.

They are always hanging out, and if they aren't together, they call and text. Which had made Toni's bedroom life better - she would picture everything she did with Fangs to be Cheryl. This was not to say she enjoyed having those moments with Fangs; while they were always consensual, they were also emotionless. It was more of a chore, but it became more bearable at the idea of being the redhead.

A month ago, if you had asked Toni what her relationship with Cheryl was, she would have difficulty finding that answer. Now they are best friends.

"Where are you going?" Fangs say across the apartment to Toni, who walks out the door with her nose in her phone. She looks up quickly, and her smile drops a little.

"I am driving Cheryl to the doctor. They are supposed to clear her today, and she isn't supposed to drive," Which was a lie. Cheryl could drive if she wanted to, but Toni enjoyed spending time with Cheryl, so she would make up an excuse to do so. And, of course, Cheryl did not care.

"First, it was the stitches appointment, then the MRI, and now this? Not to mention, you hang out there more than here. Do you still love her?"

"Fangs, I've got to go," Toni says, rolling her eyes and walking out.

"Toni," Fangs yells; Toni quickly turns back and looks at him, "You walk out of that fucking door, and we are over. Come and fucking sit down and talk to me."

Toni quickly looks at Fangs, trying to see the man who was once her best friend - hell, even a brother to her - now become the person she craves to get away from the most.

She does love Fangs, and she always will. But not in how she loves Cheryl; she isn't in love with Fangs and doesn't think those feelings will ever come.

"I guess you don't have a wife," she spits and slams the door.

As Toni drives her motorbike - not wanting to take the family car her husband bought- she notices she isn't sad about her and Fang's relationship ending. Instead, it's just the old friendship that'll never come back.

As she pulls up to the gates of Thornhill, she smirks when she sees a redhead standing there with a fur black and red coat on.

"I didn't think you were coming," Cheryl smiles, looking up and down at Toni, "How come we have 'lightning' here?"

Toni smiles at the mention of the name of her motorbike, "I just thought this might be fun for a change," she hands over the helmet, "but don't worry, Cher, I will be extra cautious," she winks.

Cheryl hesitatingly agrees and hops on; she wraps her arms around Toni, which feels like fire on both skins.

For the first time in so long, a hug doesn't feel strangling and restricting to Toni - but instead home.

Upon arrival, they patiently sat in the sitting room of the hospital, "Cheryl Blossom," a doctor calls, scanning the room; Cheryl quickly stands up and clears her throat. The doctor walks closer to her.

"Can she come with us?" Cheryl asks sheepishly. A rush of joy and pride runs through Toni's body at the thought of Cheryl wanting her to visit the doctor; she quickly stands beside Cheryl.

"Yes, of course," the doctor smiles, "if you will follow me."

They both begin to follow the doctor but share a quick smile at each other; as they enter the room, Toni sits on the chair next to the bed on which Cheryl sits.
