Chapter 12

"I'm not helping you, Ibiki."

"You sure?" He smirked. "It would definitely narrow down their numbers."

You sighed. "Ibiki, be realistic. I was undetectable by even the anbu that I worked with. If I monitored the exam, no one would pass. I'm here in case of the worse case scenario, not to catch some kids who are cheating."

Ibiki grunted disappointedly. "Fair enough. Here was I thinking I could work with you again."

You chuckled. "That still might happen, you never know." You suddenly heard a crashing noice and sighed. "I should check on those kids."

You hopped out of a window and lifted yourself into a room. From there, you ran to where the genin were being kept. You masked your presence and climbed into a window at the top of the room. You walked around on the support beams in the ceiling. You looked down at the genin and observed all of them. By the wall, the Mist were gathered. In the middle, there was a group of Leaf genin. By the door, a young man was sat down with cards in front of him. You walked over to him on the support beams and tried to get a closer look. On the cards, he had details of everyone's abilities. They were heavily detailed, like he knew everything about them. You frowned. Might have to keep an eye on him.

Suddenly, Naruto started yelling at everyone on the room. You blinked and sighed. You weren't exactly surprised. Sakura put him in a chokehold to shut him up, then started apologizing to everyone.

At the outburst, three Sound Ninja started moving towards Naruto's group. Kankuro started to get ready to fight, but Gaara stopped him. You stayed up in the ceiling and crouched down, ready to intervene. Technically, the fighting part of the exams hadn't started yet, so you had to intervene if things got serious.

One of the sound ninja lunged at the boy with the cards. He dodged it, thinking he was in the clear, but his glasses broke and he fell to the ground and puked.

Naruto and Sakura ran over to him. All of the genin tried to figure out what happened.

Naruto lunged at the sound ninja, going to attack him. You took the chance to jump down to the ground. Naruto noticed you and tried to stop, but he was too slow. You body flickered behind him, then hit his pressure points. He collapsed to the ground. You whipped around to the sound ninja and did the same to them as they tried to dash away. Four genin fell to the ground, unable to move.

You sighed. "I forgot how loud genin are. The exams haven't even started. Get your act together." The sound ninjas glared at you. You stared back, and they looked away. You scoffed and turned to the boy who had puked. "You. What's your name? And give me one of those cards."

"It's Kabuto." He struggled to get up, and Sakura went to help him. You shot her a look, and she backed off. Kabuto stumbled over to his cards and grabbed one.

You looked it over. It had even more info then you had seen from up on the beams. You looked at Kabuto. "Kabuto, hm?" You pocketed the card at the same Ibiki and his men teleported into the room.

"Silence, degenerates!" He grinned at you when he saw the genin unmoving on the floor. "Already taking disciplinary measures?"

You shrugged. "Someone's gotta teach 'em some respect."

Ibiki smirked and turned back to the genin. "Sorry to keep you waiting. I'm Ibiki Morino, proctor for the first test of the Chunin Exam."

The kids started to file out of the room after Ibiki. You turned to the genin you had immobilized. You focused on their chakra and unblocked the points you had blocked. The sound ninja quickly sprang up, and walked around you cautiously. You eyed them, irritated.
