The crow led you far out of the arena, and out of the Hidden Leaf. You didn't have time to ask the Hokage for permission to leave, so you snuck over the wall and dashed away.

The crow kept flying for a while until it finally stopped and perched on a branch. It squawked at you. You panted with your hands on your knees for a second, then stood up straight and leaned against a tree.

You felt a very family chakra signature, but he stayed nearby and didn't approach you. You smiled. "Do I have to have to whistle for you, too?"

Itachi walked towards you a second later. "Can't sneak up on you, can I?"

You smirked. "Never."

"Really? I think I'd be able to if I was serious."

You laughed. "Whatever you say. So, what do you need?"

Itachi's expression quickly sobered up. "It's about the Jinchuriki- Naruto."

You breathed out. "You're coming after him?"

Itachi looked away. "Kisame and I are supposed to come for him soon. Probably right after the exams."

You sighed. "That's fucking perfect. First I gotta deal with Sasuke, now I have to worry about you coming after Naruto?" You rubbed your forehead and reached in your pocket. "Fucking kids. What am I supposed to do about them?"

You put a cigarette in your mouth and raised your lighter to it, but Itachi grabbed your arm. "Did something happen?"

You paused. You tried to move your arm to light the cigarette, but Itachi didn't let you. You finally pulled it out of you mouth and walked away. "Why do you say that?"

"You smoke when you're stressed."

You sat on the ground and rubbed your temples. The cigarette was still in between your fingers. "Shouldn't you know already? Aren't you watching everything with those crows?"

Itachi sat down next to you. "I'm more concered about you right now then I am about Sasuke."

You stood back up. "So, are you using them to stalk me now?"

Itachi followed after you. "You know I'm not. And don't change the subject." He grabbed your arm and pulled you towards him. There was maybe a foot of space between you two.

You looked down. "I'm not."

"You are. Will you look at me, please?"

You raised the cigarette back to your mouth. Itachi snatched it away.

"Look at me."

You kept staring down. Itachi sighed. "I'll give this back if you do?" He rolled the cigarette in his fingers.

"I have more, anyway," you said, before dashing away.

Itachi clicked his tongue. "Y/N!"

You pulled out another cigarette as you ran. You quickly used a fire jutsu to get fire on your fingertips to light the cigarette.

Itachi followed close behind you. "Would you stop running, please?" He asked after a while.

You looked up at the night sky, then back towards Itachi. He'll catch me eventually, I guess. Itachi had always been a faster runner than you, anyway.

You body flickered behind Itachi. He whirled around in a second. "Y/N-" Before he could finish, you grabbed the branch of a tree and hoisted yourself up to the top.

You sat on a branch and puffed on the cigarette as Itachi climbed up and sat next to you. He reached out to snatch the cigarette again, but you blocked him this time.
