Waking up, you felt the adrenaline still pumping through your veins. You shot up to see a cold, colorless room greeting you.

You were in the hospital again.

Coughing, you cleared your dry throat.

"God," you said, voice coming out weak.

"Shouta..." you said, half expecting him to be beside you like always. Looking around, you yawned, making your brain wake up.

Suddenly you felt your heart drop.
"Shouta," you said as you realized where you were and why. Ripping out the iv stuck in your arm, you run as fast as possible—slamming the door behind you.

You were running down the hall. You stopped at the closest room to your own; you slammed my body against the door. You peeked into the door's small window.

There was a bandaged person from head to toe.

'That's not him, is it' you thought as you squinted your watery eyes.

His Black hair.

Busting the door, you ran to your bandaged teacher. You felt like your legs were going to break. Looking over the side of the bed, you felt your nose burning. A sob came from your lips. It sounded terrible, and you were sure that the whole hospital could hear you, but you didn't care.

"Shouta wakes up," you said, your saliva growing thick.

"Come on, please... please," you said, shaking one of his bandaged arms.

"I'm still here- come on, old man, wake up," you shouted, realizing he wouldn't. Clutching the side of the bed with your unbandaged arm, you crouched down.

"I'm tired, just come back." you sobbed as you thought about how he was the person you would go to. He would always be there. He was the person that you loved the most. He was your person.

This wasn't fair, after everything, all the shit you had to deal with for your entire life. The universe just had to take away the one thing you had, the one thing you needed.

Letting go of the bed, you sank onto the floor.

"Shouta, please; I promise I won't be mean to you anymore," you whispered, expecting him to sit straight up and make a retort. He didn't.

Sobbing harder, you could feel your heartbreak. Echoes of your cry's filled the room drowning out the sound of the door opening. Feeling someone place their hand on your shoulder, you stayed unaffected.

"Come on honey, let me bring you back to your room," the voice of a young woman said. Averting your eyes away from the crouching nurse, you shock your head. You couldn't get up; you were too tired.

"Just breathe. Do you know Eraserhead? Are you one of his students?" The nurse questioned. Making you nod your head.

Hearing words of encouragement, you start to calm down. Then you felt stupid; why did you even care? None of that stuff you thought was true, was it? Even if you don't hate him, it doesn't mean you loved him, right? No way.

"Don't worry, darling, he's going to be fine," the woman told you as she lifted you.

"he doesn't look fine," you whimpered, sitting on the chair beside the mummy. All you wanted to do right now was to be in his arms.

"Aw honey, don't cry. He'll be okay. Yes, he's in pain, but he'll recover. I promise," the nurse said, squatting to meet you eye to eye.

"Really, what's wrong with him," you said, wiping away your tears aggressively.
