After the lengthy discussion about Mindy's suspect list, you were eager to leave the conversation behind. As you glanced around, you couldn't help but notice Ethan, looking rather crestfallen. It was evident that Mindy's ranking of him as the prime target on her 'going to die' and 'Ghostface' list had taken its toll.
"Hey, Ethan, wait up!" You hastened your steps to catch up with him.
"Oh, hey, Y/n," Ethan replied, his voice subdued.
"Is everything okay?" Your concern was palpable.
"Yeah, it's just... why does everybody think I'm a murderer?... do you think I'm a murderer, Y/n?" Ethan's eyes betrayed a hint of insecurity.
"Of course not. Ethan, don't be upset. I know you're innocent. It's just Mindy being Mindy. Did you know that last year she thought I was Ghostface?" You chuckled at the recollection.
"Oh, wow, really? Why?" Ethan joined in the laughter.
"Hahahaha, I don't really know," you admitted with a shake of your head.
Ethan's face brightened slightly, glad for the change in topic. "Hey, um, this new bubble tea shop just opened. Do you maybe want to go check it out? I mean, if you have nothin–" He was interrupted by your enthusiastic agreement. "Of course, I would love to," you replied, excitement evident in your voice, a welcome sight that brought a smile to Ethan's face.
The bubble tea shop wasn't too far away, making for a pleasant walk. While you conversed with Ethan, you realized that talking to him never felt awkward or uncomfortable. It was as if you two shared a special rapport, filled with mutual interests. Even moments of silence didn't feel awkward; they were simply comfortable.
As you strolled, you discussed your favorite movies and TV series, your words flowing seamlessly, interrupted only by your arrival at the bubble tea shop.
"Hey, welcome to Bubbles. What can I get you?" the cashier asked.
"Two bubble teas, make it a surprise, please," Ethan ordered. The total came to $9.98.
You reached for your wallet, but Ethan stopped you, insisting on paying first. You smiled, appreciating his gesture. "Hey, next time, I'm going to pay, whether you like it or not," you playfully countered.
"We'll see," Ethan replied, his grin suggesting a friendly battle of generosity.
With your bubble teas in hand, you made your way to a nearby park, settling on a bench. As you took a sip of your mango-flavored tea, you asked, "Have you ever tried döner?"
"No, what's that?" Ethan replied, curiosity piqued.
"You've never tried döner, Ethan??" you exclaimed. "It's literally so good. It's bread cut up, and you put chicken meat and salad in it."
"That sounds weird," Ethan commented.
"It's so good, though. After this whole ordeal with Ghostface is over, we should go get some," you suggested.
"Yeah, that would be nice," Ethan agreed, though his eyes held a trace of melancholy. You couldn't quite discern what was bothering him, which left you feeling somewhat uneasy.
"Ethan, can I try your boba?" you inquired, hoping to shift the focus away from his disquiet. "Sure," Ethan offered, handing over his bubble tea for you to taste.
Taking a sip, you couldn't help but reflect on how his kindness had made a lasting impression on you. "It's really good. Wanna try mine?" you asked, offering your own bubble tea.
"Yeah," Ethan said, accepting your cup.
As Ethan sampled your bubble tea, you couldn't resist teasing him playfully, "You know, we just indirectly kissed."
Ethan sputtered, nearly choking on his drink in surprise. You giggled, finding his flustered reactions quite endearing. He couldn't help but wish for a direct kiss, sans the indirect path.
With your bubble teas finished, you both decided to head to Ethan's dorm. "Don't expect much from my room," he warned.
"Okay," you agreed, your laughter resonating through the corridors. Although you'd visited Chad and Ethan's dorm multiple times, you'd never ventured into Ethan's personal space.
Upon entering Ethan's room, you noticed the stark contrast in tidiness compared to Chad's more cluttered living quarters. Movie posters adorned the walls, creating a cozy atmosphere, while a pleasant scent lingered in the air.
"Oh, right, I forgot to say thank you," you began. "For punching that creep in the face and not letting him take advantage of me and for bringing me home safe."
Ethan responded with heartfelt sincerity, "I would do anything for you, Y/n." Your cheeks flushed, and you felt your heart flutter.
You started feeling your face getting hot you looked away not wanting him to see. Your the one that should make him blush not him you.
Ethan grapped you chin so that you were looking at him towering over you.
He was actually tall and had a good built you couldn't understand how girls don't fall for him.
He moves closer, his face just a few inches from your's, staring down into your eyes.
"Can I?" Ethan asked wanting to taste you lips so bad. "Mhm" you hum.
Ethan leans forward, your lips brushing past each other as you go for a kiss.
He presses you up against the wall, kissing yoy hungrily as his hands slide down you back towards your hips. He must've wanting to do this for a long time.
You were surprised of how passionate he kisses as a virgin.
"Hey Ethan I'm gonna-" Chad barges in
Ethan and you separate from each other real quick being bright red from embarrassment and out of breath.
"Oh my god... I owe Tara so much money." Chad says shocked and closed the door.
Ethan turns to look at you "sorry about that" Ethan said apologizing he looks at the clock "shit I'm late for econ." He said with kind of fear in his eyes.
"Sorry for distracting you" you say quietly. "You didn't if anything econ is the distraction from you." Ethan said hugging you then leaving.
You go to Chad.
"Are you done making out?" Chad asks.
"Shut up its not like you and Tara don't" you laugh.
"Hey don't play that game!" Chad says.
"Do you want to come to Sam and Tara's apartment because you have nothing else to do since your lover boy has econ."
"Oh yea right you have to pay Tara hahahaha." You say to him both of you walking out of the dorm heading to Sam and Tara's.
