You began running towards the theater, your heart pounding in your chest, while you dialed Sam's number. You could feel the tension in the air as you let Sam know you'd be there in about four minutes and instructed them to wait outside the theater.

The night had fallen, and darkness had draped itself over the city. You quickened your pace, but thankfully, nothing unusual happened during your journey. The minutes seemed to stretch as you rushed through the dimly lit streets.

Finally, you reached your destination, slightly out of breath. Waiting for you were Chad, Sam, Tara, Danny, and Kirby. They all turned to look at you with a mixture of relief and concern.

"Hey," you greeted them, your breath still uneven from the sprint.

Their faces wore expressions of worry. "Where are Ethan and Mindy?" they inquired.

You took a deep breath and let out the news. "Mindy was attacked on the train, and Ethan stayed with her to ensure she's okay."

Chad, visibly distressed, pressed further, "Is she alright?"

You nodded, trying to offer some comfort. "Yes, she's going to be okay."

The urgency in the situation was apparent as Kirby clapped her hands to draw your attention. "Alright, let's not waste any more time. Let's go inside."

The theater loomed ahead, an ominous structure that brought back memories of your previous encounter there. A feeling of unease settled in your gut, stronger than before. It was as if an invisible hand gripped your stomach, warning you of impending danger.

Despite this ominous feeling, you had no choice but to enter. You followed Kirby as she deftly unlocked the first door with her keys and the second door with a card. She spoke with determination, "I've cleared the whole place before you got here."

As the second door closed behind you, Kirby explained the trap she'd set up. "So, this is the only way in or out. When someone enters through the first door, both doors lock automatically, trapping them inside. We turn it into a kill box."

An unsettling thought crossed your mind as you considered their lack of weapons. Sam raised the question, "Weapons?"

Kirby's response was firm, "There's one gun, and I'm the one holding onto it."

Sam was about to argue, but Kirby shut down the discussion. "I'm the only one with a badge here, and that's how it's going to be."

Skepticism hung in the air, but Kirby offered reassurance. "We're safe here," she said firmly.

Feeling a need to check on Ethan and Mindy, Sam expressed her intent, "I'm going to check in with Mindy, make sure she's okay."

You trusted Sam and didn't want to be a third wheel with Chad and Tara, so you asked, "Can I stay with you?"

She nodded, and you both walked further into the theater shrine. Jackets were tossed on a few chairs as everyone went their separate ways. Chad and Tara ventured off to explore, while Kirby disappeared into another room. You decided to stay close to Sam.

She dialed Mindy's number, her worried expression evident as she waited for Mindy to answer. You, meanwhile, found a spot on the stage and sat down, anxiously hoping for good news from the other end of the call.

However, the ringtone turned into silence as Mindy failed to pick up the phone. Sam murmured under her breath, urging Mindy to answer, but it was to no avail. The call went to voicemail, and Mindy's recorded voice echoed through the theater, "Hey, you have reached me, leave a message."

Feeling helpless, you reached for your phone and decided to send Ethan a message. 'Ethan, I hope you and Mindy are safe. Call me when you can. I love you.' You sent the message and anxiously waited for a reply that never came. Closing your phone, you tucked it back into your pocket.
