You looked into his eyes; they were filled with tears, though he didn't cry. He was terrified, not of his death, but of losing you, losing your trust.

You pondered for a couple of minutes, choosing not to shoot. Using fire with fire wouldn't make things better; it wouldn't bring Anika back. It would only result in losing him too.

Slowly, you put the gun away. "I-I can't," you admitted.

"I can't fucking shoot you," you said, frustrated. Ethan wore a more relaxed expression, but he was still saddened that you didn't trust him. He had the feeling that you hated him.

Which was partly true - you did hate him, but you still loved him, adding to your frustration.

"Ethan, I swear to God, if you try anything, I'll fucking kill you. Understand?" you shouted at Ethan.

Ethan nodded, unfamiliar with this side of you. It was new for him; you got to see his dark side, and now he was witnessing yours.

"I said, do you fucking understand?" you shouted even louder, making Ethan jump a bit.

"Y-yes, yes, I-i understand," he panted. "Just... what do I have to do to earn your trust again?" he pleaded.

You hesitated but decided to be straightforward. "Kill them," you whispered, looking at Ethan.

Ethan's eyes widened, not expecting you to say this, but he was willing to do anything to earn your trust again. "I'll do whatever it takes," he said, determined.

Suddenly, shots rang out from behind you, but not aimed at you. Bailey was trying to shoot Tara, but he missed. Tara slipped, hanging on the railing, afraid to fall. The fall wouldn't be long, resulting in only a few bruises, but Bailey and Ethan were there, and she probably thought they would intervene. Ethan wouldn't, but Bailey might.

Bailey chuckled at Tara's struggles. Tara almost fell, but Sam held onto her before she could.

"Go get her!" Bailey ordered Ethan.
Ethan shook his head.
"What?" Bailey's tone darkened.
"I said no!" Ethan shouted.

Ethan turned to you and whispered urgently, "Go, please, hide somewhere safe!" He pleaded.

Is mee sorry for not doing any new chapter I was really lazy so also new options again choose wisely or somebody might end up dead again.
This chapters name is mind games because it reminded me of the song which gave me and idea should I make playlist at the start that fits to every chapter if you know what I mean.
