Silent Secrets - Minsung

Chapter 20

Jisung's POV:

It was around 5am when Jisung abruptly woke up from a nightmare. It was the same one about his sister that he always used to get after the incident. He couldn't remember a lot from his dream just a vague understanding that it was about that day. He didn't know why he dreamt it after such a long time of not having it but he had a feeling that even though he didn't regret the date, maybe the treehouse wasn't the best place to go after all. Jisung was now worried that the dream might become reoccurring.

He was upset and didn't want to be alone but he knew that everyone would be asleep. But then he remembered that Chan would probably be awake. Unlocking his phone, he went onto Snapchat to check Chan's location and sure enough, he was at his studio.
But he decided to message instead of calling him though just in case he had fallen asleep at the studio.

Jisung:
Hey Chan, I know it's super late but are you awake?

Chan 🐺:
Jisung? Yes, I am awake.
But why the hell are you awake??

Jisung:
Umm, I had a nightmare haha...
I checked snap maps, why are you at the studio so late?

Chan 🐺:
You caught me.
I couldn't sleep so I came here, what can I say?

Jisung:
We have school in a couple of hours though Chan.
Have you slept at all??

Chan 🐺:
No, I haven't but like I said I couldn't sleep and now it's too late to go to sleep because I'll end up being late for school.

Jisung:
Well...
In that case would you mind if I came to the studio?
I don't wanna be alone.
Plus I have been meaning to ask if you could teach me to write songs, maybe we could try writing a song together...

Chan 🐺:
Really?
Of course you can Jisung.
Actually, do you want me to pick you up, I'll drop you back off too of course.
It's just that it's late and I wouldn't want to walk in the dark.
Plus Minho would kill me if I let anything happen to you by walking alone.
So I'll pick you up lol.

Jisung:
You sure?

Chan 🐺:
Yep, when are you gonna be ready?

Jisung:
Thank you Chan!
I'll be ready in like 20 minutes.

Chan 🐺:
Ok in that case, I'll finish up here and head over to you now.

Jisung:
Cya soon Chan.

Jisung got ready and before he knew it Chan had texted him that he was outside.

Getting in the car, he signed a quick "thank you" to Chan. Feeling guilty as soon as he did. He felt like he was lying to Chan in some weird way. "Jisung, we ain't going until you get your belt on, you know," Chan said, snapping Jisung out of his thoughts. He decided now was a good time to just talk anyway, also telling him now would mean one less person that would freak out at school later. "Hyung, I have something to tell you but don't freak out ok?" Jisung signed. "Ok?" Chan replied, confused. "Umm so I was planning on telling you all at lunch but yeh. Me and Felix have been working for a couple of weeks to get me talking again." Jisung admitted.
Chan just stared at him, gobsmacked for a couple of seconds. Then abruptly cleared his throat and grabbed onto the steering wheel. "Not freaking out. Belt?" Chan stated then smiled. Jisung just laughed, putting his belt on and Chan started driving. Jisung felt relieved. One down, four left. Sadly he still had to deal with Hyunjin's dramatics at school though. But he didn't want to think about that right now, deciding to enjoy his little hangout with Chan for now.

Once they got to the studio Chan showed Jisung some of his written songs. "Oh my god Chan, they are so good! I especially liked the beat of the second song" Jisung praised. "Thank you Jisung, so what kind of song did you want to try writing then?" Chan asked, leaning back in his chair. "Umm, I don't really know... I kinda wanted to write a song for Minho but I don't know" Jisung admitted. "Hmm I think we could make that work but it's gonna take some time, it won't be done today, you know that right?" Chan asked. Jisung just nodded. "Right then let's get to it" Chan chuckled.

They had worked on it for quite some time when Chan looked at his phone. "Oh damn. We better go. It's almost 7:30." Chan said, quickly saving their work on his computer. "Oh shit, it's been that long? I see how you can lose time while writing now" Jisung laughed thinking back to all of the times when Chan blamed his lateness on losing time at the studio. "Yeah, I told you lot I wasn't lying whenever I'm late" Chan replied. With that, they both left the studio.

When Jisung got home, he quickly showered and got ready for his day. Getting to school just in time.

Monday, second period:
Jisung's POV:

Jisung was in English class, he had just Felix in this class and they sat together, which Jisung was thankful to the teacher for.
They were halfway through the lesson when Jisung felt a tap on his arm from Felix. "What's up?" Jisung signed. "Are you gonna tell the others today?" Felix signed back. Jisung nodded, "Chan already knows, we went to the studio together this morning. But yes, I don't think I could bare hiding it from them, I felt guilty signing to Chan when I saw him. I just don't know how to tell them..." Felix sighed, "Want me to just tell them while holding Jinnie down so he doesn't scream?" Jisung silently laughed, "If Minho's there, I'll just greet him by saying hi. I just want it to be natural. But if we get there before Minho then I might need you to tell them." "Ok sounds good" Felix signed then went back to his work again. Jisung smiled to himself. He truly didn't know what he would do without Felix, from little things like this to the bigger things like when he was feeling upset about his sister's death, Felix was always there. He then remembered that he should probably tell him about the nightmare later. Sighing, Jisung went back to his work too.
