Chapter 52

Sunday 4PM:
Jisung's POV:

As soon as they get to their apartment block, Jisung gets out of the car and runs as fast as he can up to his place and unlocks the door. "Wait!" Jisung suddenly stops in the doorway of the kitchen, making Minho bump into his back. "This makes sense why you were 'cooking' earlier for breakfast but there was no actual breakfast. The only other explanation I could come up with is you only made some for yourself." Jisung laughs. "You caught me, I wasn't cooking or this entire apartment block would be ash..." Minho says, scratching the back of his neck, chuckling. Jisung nods, "Anyways, microwave" He says, going over to it and opening the door to find it empty. "What?" Jisung says, feeling perplexed. "No hints baby" Minho states. "Fine, what was the riddle again, at least?" Jisung sighs. "I warm your food, and I make popcorn. Don't put your hand in me; I can give you quite a burn." Minho repeats. "So... Not in. Ok." Jisung says. He looks under the microwave and there's nothing there. He looks at the sides, nothing still. Sighing, he climbs on top of the counters. Minho rushes over to him, "woah baby, careful" Minho said worriedly. "I'm too short to look behind it on the floor, shush. Here it is." Jisung shouts the last past, waving the piece of paper around, before reading it. It says: 'Paws and whiskers'

"The animals? Soonie and Bbama?" Jisung guesses. Minho nods. "You put something with the menace? Seriously?" Jisung dead-pans. "How am I meant to get the next clue? That cat would want to murder me if I dared touch him." Jisung exclaimed. "Ok fair... I didn't think of that... Ok how about, you figure out what you need by getting it from Bbama and I'll get it from Soonie for you?" Minho suggests. Jisung nods, "Bbam Bbams" Jisung calls. Bbama comes running in from his bed. "Hi Mr Fluffybutt" Jisung greets, bending down to pet Bbama, and looking at his collar. "This isn't Bbam Bbams'. Where's Bbama's collar Min? I spen... Never mind, uh, just bring it back." Jisung looks away. "No spen? Spent? How much was that ball of fur's collar Ji? And why am I only just now hearing about how you may have spent too much on a collar?" Minho questions. Jisung chews his lip nervously, "Uhhh... Around $35... But it has a tracker on his collar so we can always find him. He means a lot to me, I'd never want to lose him, just like you don't let Soon out because you don't want him getting lost or worse right?" Jisung quickly argues. "Ok fair... I... That's a lot of money just for a collar but at least it was for a good reason. I can't argue with your logic baby." Minho chuckles. Jisung nods, "see, so where is the collar? He needs it back on please. Next time just, I don't know.. Just like replace the tag or leave his collar alone entirely. Please." Jisung says. "You know... That might've been a smarter way anyways... Oops... Umm anyways I'll go get it now. Try to figure out your next hint though." Minho says before walking out. Jisung inspects the tag, it had 29/09 on it. Just then Minho walked back in with Soonie's clue collar and Bbama's real collar. "Perfect, put it on him, please." Jisung asked. Minho nodded and handed Soonie's collar to Jisung. Jisung immediately checked the tag and it had 2015. He could only guess that it was a date. 29/09/2015. It sounded like school term start dates and 2015 was the year he started high school. "Is it our high school?" Jisung asks. Minho nods and hands him a note, "This is the last location that has other people." Jisung nods and reads the note. The clue is: Family. "Oh easy. Our group, no?" Jisung said without hesitation, and then smiled. "Yeah, of course it's the group" Minho chuckles. Minho seemed really nervous now, he had seemed nervous all day but it's been getting more and more noticeable. "Before we go... Are you alright?" Jisung asked. "Yeah I'm alright" Minho smiled. Jisung stares into his eyes, "You sure? Like definitely?" Jisung asked again. "Yes baby, definitely. Just excited and a bit nervous for the last place. But don't worry." Minho confirmed. "Ok if you are sure.. Let's go then" Jisung says, taking Minho's hand and walking back down to the car.

They arrive at the high school and the rest of the group are just waiting around in the parking lot for them. They all looked so happy, even Seungmin was smiling when they drove into the parking lot, this was weird and unusual. When the car was parked, Jisung get out, "Hey guys" Jisung smiles. They all say hi back to Jisung and Minho. "So what are we gonna do here then?" Jisung asks. "Pretty much just eat picnic food on the school field and reminisce for a bit before your last clue" Felix replies, pointing to the bags of food. Jisung nods and the group get the food and start to head to the field.

I thought this hunt type thing would be like 3 chapters max... I didn't expect it to be this long. But I guess it's also kinda alright because this is the ending of the book anyways.
Also, I was gonna have them do a hot air balloon ride at the end of this scavenger hunt type thing or whatever it is, but then I thought it was stupid because I'm literally writing a fanfic about two people who are really afraid of heights irl lol. I'm dumb. So basically, I gave that idea up.
