The truth behind Maria

When Maria arrived to the Academy, it was already really late. Many of the students were wondering why a student would be coming late. " As a pureblood, I ask you all to not worry much about this issue. It isn't a big deal that a new student is coming. Have I made myself clear." I either heard them say yes or I saw them nod their heads. Then I heard a delicate yet sweet voice say," Well this is very interesting. You all are like loyal dogs to your master. *chuckles* I'm very sorry for interrupting. " Maria had entered the class but only to be greeted by Hanabusa's words, " Who the hell are you?" She turned to face the aristocrat and replied " The hell? Do you know who I am?" I knew I had to stop this so I said," It isn't very nice to speak to vampires like that Hanabusa. Especially if they are very close to me. Isn't that right, Maria?" I looked at her and her eyes lit up. "Yes you have made your point. " She jumped to where Kaname was and grabbed his hand. Although I was forced to sit next to him, recently it has been awkward between the two of us due to the actions he made towards me. When Maria grabbed Kaname's hand she nuzzles it and said," This is the first time I have been close to a pureblood besides Keiko- senpai. I am so lucky.* girlish giggles*" I turned around to see that Ruka Souen didn't like the way Maria was so close to Kaname. I then heard him reply, " Why thank you Maria." With that, she jumped to where the door was and said," I should go before I cause any more trouble. Bye-bye". I sighed in relief and exscused myself so I could take a breathe of fresh air. I noticed that when Maria entered the class,Takehiko had disappeared. I wanted to know why so I went to look for him.I couldn't find him and so I went back to class.
-2 DAYS PASSED-

It has been two days since Maria arrived to the academy. It wasn't that exciting but more of a concern. It began to worry me but I shrugged of the bad feeling. The sun had set which meant it was already time to leave for class. I finished preparing for class and went down to wait for the remaining vampires. I was stuck in entrance room ,where the two stair cases were, with Ruka, Seiren, Senri, Takuma, Rima, Hanabusa, Akastsuki, and Takehiko. I saw Maria come along with Kaname behind her. I sighed in relief that they didn't take long.
I looked at Maria carefully, but ignored my bad gut feeling. I didn't get why I felt something bad was going to happen. The nightmares I have had are getting worse. I began to have dark circles around my eyes which was bad and also started to take small naps during class. Well while we were walking to class, I noticed that Zero was staring at Maria coldly as if he wanted to kill her. I kept looking at him that Zero's gaze traveled to my eyes. He looked concerned at me, so I stopped, walked up to him, and said," There's nothing to worry about. You know as well as I do that I can handle these types of situations. Don't worry about me, worry more about Yuki, she needs your protection more than I do." What I said was more of a whisper so nobody could really hear. I knew that Zero someone inside of Maria that wasn't her. I could feel it too but when I felt that presence, I suddenly became vulnerable.

When the class began, I felt sleepy and was about to close my eyes when," You know sleeping in class is bad, my dear" My eyes widened in shock. Only one person calls me that....... my mother! As class continued, I kept wondering why Maria had called me dear. I was lost deep in thought that I didn't notice class was already over. I looked up to see only Kaname there looking at me. The awkward feeling began to surround the both of us, it really irritated me when ever I start to feel something whether it's fear or confusion, but at most times I shake the feeling off. This time I wasn't able to. I saw that he was about to say something and so I stopped him from doing so. " There is no need to apologize because I forgive you but in one condition. You are to try and forget what happened that night. Please do not bring up a topic that might lead to that event. That is the condition you must follow in order to gain my forgiveness. Other than that, I rarely hold grudges against someone. If that is all I should -" I was about to finish but he grabbed my arm and pulled me into a hug. I didn't know what else to do so I let him keep me under his embrace. Soon after I felt as if something bad was about to happen. I looked at Kaname but I didn't see him anywhere. I ran to where the feeling I had before was strongest. I heard two voices speak and saw Yuki behind a wall trying to hear. I managed to slip past her and reached a more private spot where I was able to hear clearly. I knew something was wrong the moment I saw Maria there with Zero and........... Ichiru? I couldn't believe it. After all this time, he was with my mother, so why was it here? Then it hit me. My thoughts were interrupted with a gun shot. I quickly ran to where they were and stood in front of Maria. Zero then shouted at me," KEIKO-SAN GET AWAY FROM HER!!" I looked at him and shouted back,"NO!" He looked at me confused and then Maria said,"*chuckles evily* I guess you really kept my secret well hidden my dear. A job well done. Now for you Zero, haven't you ever thought that the reason Keiko hasn't moved away from me is that she is my........... daughter?" I put my arms down and looked at the ground. I didn't want to see Zero's disgusted face that the other vampires receive from him. I then heard him say," As if I'll ever believe that. I know that you are a filthy vampire. If you were to have a daughter, she would be as filthy as you. Keiko isn't like you, she is much different than you. " I looked at him, my eyes filled with sadness and I said to Zero," I'm sorry, but.................. SHE'S RIGHT! I'M HER DAUGHTER! I'M AS FILTHY AS HER LIKE YOU SAID!!!! " After I finished saying that I dropped down to my knees and began to cry. There was no way I could deny that I was her daughter. Maria looked at me then back at Zero. Her eyes filled with hatred." It isn't right to make my dear daughter cry. She hasn't done anything wrong to tell you the truth. She was loyal but would speak her mind if she didn't like a specific act one was about to perform. I taught her good in my own way. That is why she is so sincere. She can never be filthy like me." My mother told Ichiru to do something. He nodded and took out his sword. Zero was cut and with that,I blacked out only to be carried by warm yet strong arms. I didn't know why she would go through all the trouble to hide her identity. Well now I know that my Okaasama will be by my side for now..............
