The Vampire Prison

Chapter 9

After he's finished all 3 of the blood bags he just stares at me, I know I should feel creeped out but strangely I don't. I feel safe under his gaze like nothing could hurt me. "Now you've ate we need to do something else to keep us both occupied." He still just looks at me before questioning "Have you decided your vampire yet?"

I shake my head knowing I haven't even seen any other vampires other than him. I tease him "Maybe if you're a good boy I'll keep you." Then I realise I'm talking to the vampire king and want to face palm myself. I'm cut out of thought when he lets out a booming laugh "You're mine darling, whether you like it or not."

"I'm not an object." I huff out feeling annoyed by his words which he must catch on because his face forms a grumpy frown "Not an object, my women, my mate and my everything I will protect you until my last breath."

"Woah at least take me to dinner first." I try to joke which he smirks "We just had dinner darling although I am feeling rather hungry again."

"Seriously after the 3 blood bags you had you're still hungry." I ask him in disbelief which gets me a deep rough chuckle from him  "So innocent." He murmurs.

"I'm not!" I protest then add "I'm actually the complete opposite."

His eyes shine with amusement as he tilts his head to the side "Oh really darling?"

I just nod then decide to change the subject "Are the rumors about you true?" I ask curiously deciding to take a step back in case I angered him.

His mouth turns into a snarl as he growls out "Don't move from me I can't bare it."

"It was just in case I angered you by asking." I mutter lowly making his eyes soften and his snarl vanishes. "You could never anger me you silly human." He gruffs out making my jaw drop.

"I doubt that you seem to get angry a lot especially before." I say meaning when the guards were present. "I hate people." He grumbles.

I nod understanding "I get that a lot of people don't get on with people or want to make friends."

His chest rumbles as he lets out "I hate everyone but you human."

"Ohhhh,,," I let out shocked by his choice of words as he then speaks "Rumors are true but you my darling have nothing to fear."

"So it's true you've killed people with your bare hands?" I blurt out before I can stop myself he must notice his lip lifts slightly as he nods "I can and have when necessary yes."

"What are your abilities?" I decide to ask already knowing some but wanting to try getting to know him while we're down here.

He thinks before listing off "Super speed, super strength and mind control." Looking in deep thought he then goes on "I'm not your typical vampire darling I have beasts within me a lot fear my beasts."

"They fear you too I think it's obvious by the looks you get." I point out.

The vampire king doesn't say a thing he just looks in my eyes seriously then he softens his gruff voice "But not you, never you." I smile "I did at first I was scared like everyone else."

He looks genuinely hurt. "You tame my beasts mate." He grumbles.

"Really? But I haven't done anything." I say confused. He smiles showing his fangs "You don't need to darling just you being here with me is enough I can't be without you."

I huff out then speak "I hope you're exaggerating because you're not watching me pee!"

A grumble laugh shakes his chest as he shakes his head at me then I realise I never asked.

"What's a mate?"
