The Vampire Prison

Chapter 7

Alice's pov

"You aren't leaving him, especially while he's like this." He tells me looking 100% serious and honestly I see why. I seem to somehow calm him down or his 'beast' down as he puts it.  Which is why I agree, if he wanted to hurt me he would have since he's had the chance but he's been nothing but cute and sweet. Well towards me at least.

Sighing "I agree, it's obvious he needs me," making the king instantly relax and calm just from hearing my voice. I still find that weird although now I think about it Mr Finn mentioned about meeting your mate or something, I noticed the king has been repeatedly calling me mate.

I decide to go up to the king and I notice his pupils dilate the closer I get to him, eyes set on me not faltering for a second. "I will help you and look after you." I tell him truthfully because I will. I'll do my best to make sure he doesn't get in trouble and earns the same rights as the other vampire slaves.

He gives me a unsatisfied look before telling me "No, it's my job to look out for you and always be there for you, I will always protect and worship you darling."

"No, that's not what I mean. I was referring to you getting into trouble all the times and if you're good the guards might even permanently release you from the chains." I explain to him carefully so he understands. I see him thinking it through before a guard interrupts implying "Due to Mr King being the highest threat in the building and with his history of violence I have to decline."

I look at him in disbelief "How do I take him home with me then if he's such a threat? I sassed to the guard before mentally cursing myself when I realize what I just said. The beast now sits with his arms crossed casually with a smirk on his face.

"Claiming me already darling mate?" He rasps with a deep chuckle shaking his large chest causing me to huff looking away while making my hair cover my hair to avoid any embarrassment.

"Nope, I just didn't think my words through." I say quietly, so quiet I would doubt he could even hear it if he was a human.  The guard gives an awkward cough feeling the weird tension in the air looking as if he wants to run out the metal door.

I was interrupted at the end by the king asking if the room was 'soundproof' which the guards didn't even spare a glance at him while answering "Of course, they need to be with all your growling and snarling you do." He looks skeptically at the king before asking "Why are you asking?"

This just makes Azron chuckle but smirk "No reason'" I got the impression that there was definitely a secret meaning behind his words.

"Fine, you will have time in here with him and if he behaves then he can roam the prison with you. If he complies then you will take him to your house after a week and show him around the human world, that is only if he behaves and no violence." The guard narrows his eyes at the king after he finished.

"Great then!" I say trying to be more enthusiastic than I felt. "Well that's settled! I agree to your terms Mr Dofnus." I say with a small smile on my face,

"As do I,"  the vampire king agrees with me.
