"Rowan and the others are probably in the castle," Elide said and we nodded following her, people in the streets smiled warmly at the two accompanying us.

The Castle Guards took our horses and strapped them in the stables, Lorcan led a shivering Zaria away from the castle for a bit, "I don't want to go in, Rhysand and the others can tell them the information" she said to him, their voices were in whispers, barely hearable.

"You have to go in, Zaria" Lorcan gripped her chin tightly, like an instructor with a trainee.

"I failed them, Lorcan" she sighed, "I failed the Galanthynius house"

Lorcan shook his head, "No harm was done to the Galanthyniuses"

"The previous king and queen are dead and the daughter went through a war, I failed Mala, Lorcan" she argued

He shook his head again "One: no one blames you for that, Two: you were on a mission by that bitch and you were blood-sworn to her" Zaria breathed "That's it, I swear Aelin will not harm you" Zaria nodded slowly.

We all acted like we weren't hearing anything and entered the castle, it was beautiful and old, but a guard stopped us in the front, "Aedion, Where's Aelin?" Lorcan inquired, "It's urgent"

I recognized the name but couldn't remember from where, "Aelin is in the throne room with Rowan, what's happened?" Aedion replied giving us questioning looks, "who are they?" he asked Lorcan, his gaze on us the entire time.

"We'll explain with Aelin present," Lorcan said and Aedion nodded walking further into the castle, Zaria's hand was shaking terribly but her face was dead serious, like a warrior gazing out on a battlefield.

We followed them silently through the hallways, each was more majestic than the other, Rhysand was in front of us, his hold on his magic tight, with Cassian and Zaria beside me, Zaria didn't have any weapons on her except the long, golden sword on her back, Cassian was the opposite with weapons all over his body.

We reached a great door that both Aedion and Lorcan opened together, sunlight seeped through the cracks as it opened to reveal a mesmerizing throne room with shades of green and yellow sunlight. A tall, ethereal female figure was fingering a rippon of sorts as her white-haired companion kept his eyes on her.

Both of the figures turned to the now-opened door, the blonde female had a smile on her face as she saw Elide, her golden dress moved as she turned fully, and her turquoise eyes focused on us a moment later, her hand moved subtly to the dagger concealed under the layers of her dress, Cassian was instantly on guard.

The male on the other hand was deeply focused on Zaria, his pine-green eyes now lined with silver, his mouth gaped as he moved from his spot slowly to Zaria who looked to be in the same state as him, his long legs reached her and she put her hands on his cheek wiping his tears "you're alive" he muttered and Zaria nodded.
