The day of Becca's bat mitzvah arrives and I'm sitting in a bench listening as the parents start with the introduction of the celebration to then signing Hebrew prayers.

I can help but sigh as i didn't sleep very well last night and woke up to my brother bashing my rooms door, so it wasn't a great start to the morning.

As me and Anna sat in our seats, we saw Maya and her mother come in throw the door, what was unexpected was that Shuji was with them...

What the hel... I mean. What?!

As Maya sat down next to me and Shuji next to Maya, he looked to my direction and smiled, following his gesture, I do the same.

As the ceremony ends, everyone heads to the after party which was bigger that I excepted. There was a dance floor, music, food, karaoke, etc... and of course Becca dressed up a ballroom gown. Kinda reminds me of a quinceañera.

The first thing I thought to do was grab something to eat since I'm starving, but I couldn't even get to the table before someone gets ahold of my arm and pushes me towards them

-Really, not even giving me a chance to eat?- I scoff immediately recognizing the person.

-I don't know anybody here but you, so I gotta stick with you- he says letting go of me to then shoving his hands to his pockets.

-Why did you come if you didn't know anyone then?- I ask

-I ain't missing out on seeing you- he answers I as roll my eyes

-Anyway, Im gonna go see what's the food options- I say

-So I guess I am to.- Shuji says back as he follows behind me

As time passed and Shuji and I just spent it talking and laughing, slowly I started to realize that people were recognizing Shuji and passed by to greet him. Specially girls. The thing about it is that they'd always give me a nasty stare while walking by which I didn't really care about. Eventually it came the time to give Becca her presents, making me realize I didn't bring one.

-Oh shit I didn't realize I needed to bring a present- I say turning to Shuji.

-Don't worry, I bet she won't even realize with all the amount of ones she's got on that table- he comments with a chuckle

As we stare at Becca opening her presents as everyone surrounds her, Shuji face changes expression as he sees a familiar girls face go and hand Becca a present

-Man what the fuck is she doing here.- he says scoffing. I turn to look at the girl and see thats she's the sister of Alex's friend that came to my house the other day.

-Damn, well that's tuff- I say chuckling while crossing my arms

-this isn't funny- he says while turning to face me

-Why don't you go up to her and say something, aren't you guys "something serious"- I turn to him saying as I try making fun of the situation as he just stared

What took me out of surprise was him then grabbing hold of my hand and pulling me out the room where the party was being held in to brining me to the back of the building

-You gotta start warning me before doing this y'kno...- suddenly I got cut off by Shuji grabbing my face and pulling me towards him making our lips connect, my heart raced and my breath caught in my throat. His lips were soft yet firm against mine, and his arm wrapped around me as if I was the only thing that mattered in that moment. Time seemed to stand still as we lost ourselves in each other, the outside world fading away into a blur. It was a kiss that was both gentle and passionate, leaving me feeling both exhilarated and content. As we pulled away, I couldn't help but smile as he did the same.

But our moment was suddenly interrupted by a sudden gasp. We pulled away, startled, to see Maya, Anna and some random boy staring at us with a look of shock. We stood there awkwardly, unsure of what to say.

As we all stay quiet, Anna grabbed the boys hand to then walk away from the situation with an angry expression plastered on her face.

Shit.

I look at Shuji and he was fuming, he didn't even care that we were caught he just wanted to keep going with it. This is the second time our kiss has been interrupted and it's starting to get annoying.

Looking at Maya and her expression she couldn't help but come towards us and ask all these questions which she didn't even get us the chance to answer.

And what the hell was up with Anna to walk off like that.?
