New York City. One of my favorite places on this planet. The city of all cities.

It's no secret I'm in love with tall buildings and flashing lights. Something about the way they never leave. The buildings always stand tall and the lights are always on.

Cities are like a mixing pot of people with different tastes and inspirations. I was starved of that in my home town. I think that's part of the reason I'm so attracted to them.

We landed at an airport about forty-five minutes out from the city. The whole car ride I was impatient. I haven't felt this excited in a while.

"Alyssa!" Seungmin grabs my hand stopping my fingers from tapping my thigh. I must have spaced out without noticing.

"You've been spaced out for thirty minutes. What's on that pretty little mind of yours?"

I smile. "The city. I'm just excited, it was my dream to live in New York when I was younger."

He brings our interlocked hands to his lips. "Your so cute you know that?"

I get butterflies from this. It wasn't anything crazy special but Seungmin has this effect on me often. The little things he does makes my heart beat out of my chest. For him and him only.

I find myself spacing out again looking in his eyes. Naturally he leans in connecting our lips, it lasted a little longer than expected.

"Yah! Stop being disgusting! The rest of us are here to!" Minho throws his jacket at us from across the isle hitting seungmin in the back.

He pulls away. "Fuck off!"

The two boys start to bicker over who knows what. I watch them laughing. Soon the others join and the van becomes loud.

I found myself zoning out again, even with all the noise. For some reason I get spacey when I'm excited.

My excitement was then filled with awe as our van approached the city, it was already night so it seemed like the lights were shining brighter than ever.

There's no way to put into words how I am truly feeling, but I guess the closest you can get is I felt as if I was dreaming. I was just staring at a pile of concrete, but for some reason it brought me peace. I felt a type of satisfaction in my soul, something was making me feel complete, like I was meant to experience this after all.

Having them here made this even better.

Our hotel was in in the middle of the busy city, driving on the streets of New York was hectic but I didn't mind the traffic. I was too busy staring up at the buildings. The night sky was far from clear it had a noticeable fog that made the top half of the buildings disappear. I was unsure if it was from pollution or clouds. Probably a mix of both.

It sent chills down my spine seeing how tall the buildings were up close. I was sure you could see over the clouds if you stood at the top floor of one of those giants.

When we arrived at the hotel we were taken under the building into a private parking lot. We unloaded our bags and took an elevator up to the lobby. My smile never left my face.

Each of us were handed a room key by our manager. I thought it was a bit pointless to give me and seungmin our own rooms, we just end up sharing one anyways. Seungmins room ended up being closest to the elevator so we just used his, we didn't even bother to go into mine.
