I was a little worried when Ji dropped me the location to the venue the gender reveal was at. I didn't want him dropping more than a thousand on this party but it's always a gamble when it comes to money with these guys.

Turns out, I should have been a lot more worried.

"Jisung how much did you spend on this?" I was breathless as I walked into the party hall. The ceilings were lined with lights that change colors from pink to blue, the tables and chairs were all white and the center pieces also incorporated the two colors. There was a dj and a full food and smoothie bar. Not to mention the amount of balloons all over the place. There was a huge custom cake that he had bakers assembling the different pieces on top of as we speak.

"Alyssa, stop worrying about that you know I'm not gonna listen."

I sigh. "I don't know why I even try."

Two people come carrying in balloon arches and puts them in the only empty corner. Ji walks away from me so he can tell them how to place them.

I continue walking around the venue and I end up walking past the dj and his setup. I could tell he wanted to say something but was hesitant.

I smile at him to make him less nervous.

"Are you the mama?" He says relaxing a bit. I mentally pat jisung on the back for picking someone who didn't know us.

I nod my head. "Yup that would be me."

"Your boyfriend has been busting his ass trying to make this place perfect he's a keeper."

I instantly start laughing. "Oh no that's not my boyfriend, he's the uncle."

The guy looks surprised and apologized immediately. "My bad I shouldn't have assumed."

"No you're good, it happens more often than you think." I smile and Ji calls my name. I turn around to see him staring at the gift table frustrated.

"What's up?" I come over to him he sighs.

"Does it look to plain? I think we could add more balloons or a different color table cloth maybe?"

I sigh, I could tell he was overthinking it. I put both my hands on his shoulders and force him to look at me. "Ji, I promise you, everything is perfect, everything is absolutely perfect. You have done more than I could have imagined. Thank you. Let's take a break and go get some coffee and maybe a donut. It's on me."

He pulls me in for a hug. "I could use a break."

"Yes you do, come on let's go." I pull him by the arm out of the venue. I knew if I let him go he would find a way to go back in and try and fix something that didn't need to be fixed.

As we walk to the donut place that was down the street Ji and I talk about anything that comes to mind. I love how excited everyone is about the babies but it's nice to have a conversation that's not about them. It makes things feel a bit more normal to me. My whole life has flipped upside down. It's definitely a good change, but it's still uncomfortable for me. I'm still young, and I'm still learning how to balance everything.

"Can I get one glaze and one chocolate donut please?" I ask the lady at the counter. She smiles and bags the two treats.

"Anything else?" She asks looking from me to Ji. I order a water for me and an iced americano for him. We decide to eat our food on the rooftop of the cafe. The setup was cute and calming.
