They lay out in the hot sun, kissing, until the long shadows of the palm trees finally reached them, announcing an approaching dusk. How had time gone by so fast?
Pitch's lips felt slightly tender from their eternally long kisses that had lasted an entire afternoon and early evening, and he hoped Frost wasn't prone to sunburn. Pitch was, of course, immune to sunburn, but he had no idea if this was also the case for the pale Frost, who now yawned lazily as he sat up and stretched. Pitch had made sure to ignore the fact that the boy had been naked the entire time, because he still wasn't sure how he felt about that; it was a mixture of intriguing and unsettling."I love your island. Can I move in with you?" Jack asked with a hopeful smile.
"Uh... Sure..." It would only be for two more days anyway. The thought of Jack leaving made Pitch's heart feel heavy. It was that strange feeling he didn't exactly know how to interpret, but it overpowered him every time he thought of it. How could it be that his life had changed so radically in only one day?
As if his entire view of the world, his beliefs and ambitions had all been altered by this one tiny event. Alright, so the event was that he got poisoned by a love potion, but still. Frost seemed affected in a completely different way; he was irrational and had no idea what was going on, but Pitch was, mostly, still the same person he had been before, right?"Ah, it's going to be awesome! You can teach me how to cook!" Jack laughed happily, leaning back down to give him another quick kiss before pulling away again. "Speaking of which, I'm hungry! Let's make another one of those gross things with vegetables. It was really good!"
"Um... Yeah, okay." Pitch chuckled, sitting up just as Jack climbed to his feet to search for his clothes that still lay scattered around the beach.
Shamelessly, the boy began putting his clothes on right in front of Pitch, who did his best to look away, still trying to ignore the strange way that this whole clothes issue – or lack of – made him feel. Since when was that even a thing? He had never thought about it, because, once again, it was one of those things he had never cared about it. Did that mean he cared about it now?
Discreetly, he looked over at the boy who was just pulling his hoody over his head covering his lithe, pale skin. It had such a beautiful, vibrant, almost glowing color in comparison to Pitch's dull, grey skin."So what're we gonna cook?" Jack asked in his ever cheerfully manner once he was done dressing and hopped along behind Pitch who led them back to the hut.
"What would you like?" To his great surprise, Pitch found himself interested. For reasons he couldn't explain, he wanted to make something that Jack would enjoy. What kind of a potion made people want to make others happy?
Perhaps Tooth had been right... Perhaps a potion like that would truly be able to protect humanity against Pitch.
The thought made his stomach revolt."I'm guessing it's not going to be cookies, right?" Jack gave him amused grin.
"Absolutely not, no." Pitch couldn't help but smile also.
"Then something you like!" Jack grabbed his hand unexpectedly, walking along beside him.
The feeling of Frost's cold hand in his was rather unusual, but Pitch found that he liked it, despite it being such a useless activity, because seriously, holding hands? What was the point of that?
"What's your favorite food of all times?" Jack continued since Pitch was still hung up on the hand holding thing.
"Soup," Pitch said immediately, receiving a disgusted look.
"That's the absolute worst of all foods! It's like vegetables! Just liquid." Jack shook his head in disapproval while Pitch smiled in amusement.
"I thought you had liked the vegetables."
