As ever, Jack felt the familiar heat rising in his stomach while they kissed, and eventually pulled away in an attempt to control himself. Though meanwhile he was quite certain that Black wasn't evil and (hopefully) had no ill intention with him, he still wasn't sure what that meant or what he wanted from him. Especially because his judgement was clouded thanks to his 17-year-old hormones that ran rampant all over the place.
Obviously his initial plan from today in the morning – or lunchtime when he had gotten up – to stick around in order to observe his enemy had failed completely because within just 5 or 6 hours it had become impossible to deny that he had a mad crush on the demonic creature of darkness. Something he didn't know how to deal with because they were supposed to be enemies; they had always been enemies but now they weren't anymore, so what were they?
Friends?
...Lovers...?

Jack swallowed nervously as he looked up at Black's smile that was so tender it nearly made Jack's insides melt. It was incomprehensible to him how someone who could smile like that was supposed to be the King of Darkness. Even though Black had an undeniable dark edge to him, he was so much more than a mere creature of darkness and with every passing hour it became more evident. And more irresistible.

"We should go somewhere tomorrow," Black said casually as he pulled away and began walking down along the beach at the edge of the water. "It's already quite late and the sun will set soon so the humans won't come on land today, but they definitely will tomorrow."

Jack nodded, beginning to walk alongside him with the silly urge to take his hand while they slowly strolled through the warm sand, with a beginning sunset in the background. It was just like in those sappy, romantic movies that Jack loved.
Should he take his hand...?
Just like that?
It was definitely what he would have done if he had been under the influence of the love potion, right?

"We should go somewhere cold," Black continued, turning his head to give him another one of those tender smiles.

Jack's stomach was filled with butterflies at the words. Black wanted to go somewhere cold. Together with Jack. Even though he knew perfectly well that Jack was very powerful in the cold.
It meant he trusted him.

Jack couldn't keep himself from grinning widely. "Yes! Let's go somewhere cold! Where do you want to go?" he laughed merrily.

Black slowed down their already slow pace as he gave him an intense, almost passionate look. "To your winter wonderland."

Jack stared at him, caught in the intense look and the demon's words. His winter wonderland. Did he even have that?
Yes... He did have that because it was already November and his favorite place in the world was already in winter.

"O-okay," he mumbled, suddenly feeling extremely nervous. He had never taken anyone there. He had never shared his winter wonderland with anyone. Not that he had ever called it like that, but now that Black had mentioned it, that's what Jack would call it.

Black smiled with a nod and they began walking again, in the same, lazy fashion as before, while the world around them slowly began turning golden from the sun slowly lowering itself into a sparkling ocean.

Jack glanced down at the demon's hand a mere inch away from his own as they walked side by side. Even though it was such a silly, innocent gesture – especially given everything else that had already happened between them – Jack's heart beat wildly as he slowly reached over to take Black's warm hand in his, hoping the demon wouldn't pull it away.

Black carried on walking without turning to look at him, but a smile tugged on his lips and he closed his hand around Jack's, lacing their fingers together, as if they would have done this a million times.
