Monday finally came. A little too soon for Joshua's liking but what could he do about it anyways?

"So, looking forward to your first chemistry lecture?" Professor Chwe asked his favourite student. A smile plastered on his face as the students rushed towards the class' exit as soon as the lecture ended. Joshua taking his sweet time to leave. He loved physics and Professor Chwe did absolute justice to the subject.

"Not really." Joshua groaned. Standing in front of the desk as Professor Chwe adjusted his books for his next class.

"Why? You hate that subject that much?" Professor Chwe chuckled. He wouldn't blame Joshua, he himself had a major dislike for the subject for the exceptions fucked him up real bad.

"I don't 'hate' it per say. I just dislike it. Kind of." Joshua mumbled, placing his books on the desk. Professor Chwe had always been friendly with him. He never really gave him a reason not to. He was always attentive in class, not really a shocker for the whole subject in itself was interesting. He scored great in the exams too. If it wasn't for the calculus part he would've been absolutely happy in his university life.

"Then why do seem like you're dreading to go to the lecture?"

"I don't know." Joshua shrugged.

"Let me guess. You heard about Professor Yoon." Professor Chwe asked. A grin on his face as he already knows the hell chemistry majors go through.

"Heard? Pfft. I met him in person," Joshua grumbled. Grimacing as he recalled the meetings. "I'd rather take Advance calculus and fail in it than take up chemistry and get an 'A' in it."

Professor Chwe could practically feel the dislike drip off Joshua's words.

"Now, now. I don't want my favourite student to have his scholarship revoked. So, just make it through these three months." Professor Chwe tried to assure him.

"I know. Don't worry I'll make it through though I kinda doubt it 'cause I could already tell Professor Yoon won't let me have it easy." Joshua pouted.

"Just lay low I'd say. Make it hard for him to pick on you."

"I can try." Joshua shrugged. Getting his books up as Professor Chwe too did the same.

"I'd love to chat, Joshua. But you know, I have to teach three more classess."

"Yeah I know. I have to get to the devil's class." His eyes widening as he realised what he just said. Professor Chwe just laughs it off. They were more like friends anyway.

Joshua grumbled to himself climbing the stairs. He had parted ways with the Professor by the staircase. Already dreading the 'devil's' lecture.

He stood in front of the glass door, squeezing in wide breaths before puffing it out and opening the door.

Unlike the other times, the laboratory was filled with a few students. Some occupied the stools and had their noses stuck into the books while some fumbled with the compound placed on the desk. So that's what they'll be studying, Joshua concluded.

"Joshua?" He turned his head to see a very excited Soonyoung gawking at him.

"Hey, Soonyoung." Joshua smiled at the boy.

"You're taking up chem as well?" Soonyoung asked. A small smile placed on his lips.

"Yeah. I'm almost failing calculus." He groaned.

"Oh. I'm taking it since I'm pretty sure I'll fail art history. I can't keep up with that boring book, I swear." Soonyoung grumbled. Bitter that he had to study the book of art history when all he wants to do is paint.
